Brandon Foster

Brandon Foster named B12 defensive player of the week.
http://mackbrown-texasfootball.com/i...

The pick 6 was great.  Really, it was.  Helped win the game.  But am I being too pessimistic in thinking that this might actually be to our long term detriment?  That interception happened because the UCF quarterback threw a horrendous pass that was too high and too hard.  I bounced off of the reciever and went flying into the air.  Foster was just kind of sitting there not really doing anything at all.  Couple this with the TCU game where the bad snap just sort of fell into his lap, not through any great playmaking of his own, but through someone else's total screw up and he has the same amount of touchdowns as Cosby, Jones, and Finley combined.

So now the coaches will tell us how great he is because he's the only DB with a pick, AND he's the highest scoring dude on defense.  Great.

Meh

I liked some of what I saw from Palmer.  He showed genuine athleticism on a couple of those PBUs, especially that long one UCF attempted on their first drive.  He should still get no more than half the snaps at CB.

And Foster's still a joke.

I agree, Palmer was half decent

But I feel that Foster has always been the worst of the two, hence the diary about him alone

Foster

To DogTown: I feel that if it wasn't for Foster getting the interception and taking it to the endzone we would of ended up with a big L. Then who's fault is it? And who cares if there is a diary...that doesnt define his athletic ability. Im sure u would give anything to be in his shoes. Instead of the score being so close..why doesnt the RBs work on ball handling skills...something that is required for thier position. And as far as Palmer...he is doing his job just as much as anyone on the secondary. I think the secondary has been a key factor in the last two wins.

Foster

A joke would have been if there was no interception and touchdown and we lost. now thats a hell of a joke! And Im sure people were saying the samething about Ross last year and he ended up being the Thorpe Winner and a round one draft pick. Now I am not saying Foster will win the Thorpe..but Ross was a no name kind of player until he started making key plays. If u look at ross's progress last year and foster's progress their similar. It comes down to making key plays. doesnt matter how they happen, to make big plays u need to be around the ball and foster has done that. so like i tell the rest of you who dont like foster, when he continues to play well, write me back.

idiots

anyone who watched the game saw foster getting picked on all game.  but of course if you just look at the box score, all you see is lots of tackles (because his WR's catch a bunch of passes because he can't cover worth a damn) and the turnovers, none of which were caused in any way on his skill.

Foster

Your comment is the dumbest of them all. Only one of fosters tackle came from a WR. The rest came from him tackling the RB. I love all u people on here who judges his atheltic abilities and have never played a lick of football. So when foster continues to play well u write me back.

Are you related to Foster????

From your tone, you sound like a relative or are you Brandon Foster????  I read all four of your post and all you can do is call people dumb and insult their opinions and views towards the secondary.  I saw your first post and just made a simple comment, but you are going over the line.  We enjoy and welcome all views (even Aggies).  We have heated disagreements, but nobody has ever posted "Your comment is the dumbest of them all."  Add some facts and examples to your post but leave the cheap comments out

PB is one of the best moderators out here (many would have banned you after the direct attack you posted in the UCF Defense grades) and allows all sides to be heard.  It takes a lot to be banned and I’m just saying watch out.  This community does not stand for playground insults and trash talk.  We welcome you, but please change you attitude or leave for good.

Are u related to Foster?

Someone doesnt have to be related to Foster to post what they think. just like u. i guess people calling other people names (ex. Tweedle Dee) and saying an athlete doest deserve an award isnt considered "playground insults." I understand people have their own opinions and those posts are mine. But all in all, I disagree with what the other people wrote. And isnt that what this whole burnt orange nation thing all about!?

They dont have to be related

But according to you, they do have to have played football before to post what they think.

Dude

If you are Brandon Foster or related to him, you got to know that we do appreciate him. I'm proud that Foster won the best defensive player award.

Best place to silence the critics is on the field.  The secondary played well against UCF, I hope it continues.
