Rice at Texas Open Thread 2
Let's switch over here to avoid lag.
Things look great tonight. It's not that we're beating up on Rice. It's that we're putting the best players on the field.
Things look up. Way, way up.

alot of daylight
on that first down play. jesus killebrew sucks.
they heard him
Looks like Mack made his point about that no long return issue...
Can someone describe the 2nd half TD for me?
I ran to the store for a six pack at halftime and missed it.
killebrew
how is it whenever they get someone to talk about them, they only talk about him being chef...? How about just being a better LB?
brown interview
Is Mack afraid the player/doctors will steal his car while he's in surgery?

I could beat him
In a race to the fridge for a brew.

All I can say is wow! That boy sure can fly.

I know Mack plays conservatively with the lead..
But I'd like to see Chiles' arm.
Vondrell McGee
Looks awesome, too. Chiles-McGee need to be on the field in some capacity. Wow fun toys!
I'll give you a....
Too easy. Tooooo easy.

I do have a stirring in my pants.
I just thought it was the cheerleaders, but now that I think about it...
Wow score one for...
Second team. They looked great... a glimpse of the future?
this is all with ...
... the second string O-Line?
Sure would like to see that arm
Put a good receiver in there for him. Get him some confidence on the throwing game.
agreed
he can run like hell, how about throwing it?

Gin Bucket
That is, a gin highball scooped from a bucket. Classy, I know.
McGee looks terrific
This isn't about Rice being lousy. He plants and accelerates like a shot out of a cannon. Woooo.
explosive
doesn't even begin to describe him...

He's got good hands, too.
He got twisted around pretty bad a few plays back, and held on to the ball while another defender hit him.
That cut upfield sliced through three people
as he evaded another. He physically assessed the power point and accelerated through before they could react. Impressive intuitive runner. OU will see that. JC may burn you long, but this guy will chew you up for 5-15 all the time.
I'm writing a letter
petitioning GD to get Vondrell more touches. Anyone want to sign at the bottom?
quite the tandem
Pat White and Steve Slaton who?
No Kidding
That is quitw a thought... WVU with a wicked defense.
All 11 on offense
True or redshirt freshman.
You, my friends, are seeing what a national championship can get you.
The Young Bulls
I noted it above. They really have the vince attitude. They want to go somewhere down field right now.
Not going for it on 4th and goal
Have some faith Mack.

Nice
Our plan to keep hidden these explosive secret weapons until the Rice game worked perfectly! I'm just waiting for Chiles to juggle knives while running the offense - you know, for a challenge - and McGee to start playing with both legs tied behind his head so his BLAZING speed is only pretty fast while he hops along on his ass instead to be fair to Rice.
These guys are studs. Looking forward to seeing some of this during quality time against KSU (please Mack ... pretty please).

Same here
They switched to the game and I live in Colorado. Big 12 country....
Well, okay, so we are slowly becoming California east though and it sucks...
I did
upgrade my cable today and will have all the FSN channels starting next weekend. That will be nice.
yeah...the extra channels are nice....
in colorado...switched on me too, but i changed the channel and still got the texas game on that one.

Iowa St down one with 1:30 left
playing Toledo!!
Im a cheapskate
i tuned down the satellite package to save money so im havin to watch TCU and SMU.
what bullshit..
who cares about washington and ucla. although i live in california so I guess i should have seen this coming
I'd rather be watching Texas...
but at least we got to see what we've seen tonight. I'm much happier than I've been all season. Now it will all depend on what the coaches saw. Did they see what we did tonight - and will they make the changes/additions that are crying out to be made?
Enjoy the rest of the game, those of you who can still watch it!
TD Rice
As a result of our secondary giving 10 yard+ cushions to Rice WRs.
yea...
and ummm, that helmet to head hit against their qb.... btw wasn't that intentional grouding????

to listen to the game....i saved the link on my laptop so i was able to hear the arky state game and the delayed texas starts on fsn due to the tamu ot game and ttu-osu game today.

thanks, flo
Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it as well.
Why does UT make it so difficult to listen to or even watch the game online?
It appears
They are trying to license the games for paysites only. Most of the radio stations that carry it over the (free) airwaves don't broadcast the games on their online listen feature. I tried several last week and finally subscribed to yahoo! sports for $5/mo. I'll try WOAI next week to see if I can get it.
XM
if you're traveling (and have XM radio) you can catch the game there too. I had to use it last week during the UCF game when I was going from one house to another. Channels 240ish or something....it will be the channels labeled big xii....atleast thats where i found it.

That's better than my local connection.
Difficult location here for any clear broadcast. Thanks.
Lovely win...
We finally stomped in the winepress tonight. It looked good.
Mack said Ulatowski would be back next week.
On radio lockerroom interview after the game.
Norton
looked like an absolute badass. Please start him. And what was up with Acho getting in the face of the QB on 2 straight downs.
