My 2 cents on the game Sat night....

Arkansas State Game

Star-divide

Norton stuff
Killebrew miss outside cover
foster smoked
kelson make a play all day?
Lokey goal line block 3rd down
Ryan Palmer sucks
Fuck Scott Derry - outrun by white QB
5 wide looked good
Ryan Palmer sucks
4th q babino - not a blitz
4q - babino good run down on Receiver
Safeties may be worse than our CB's

  1. Neither of our safeties, whoever they were all night, came over to help the corners in time all game. Could our safeties be worse than our CB's? Kill me.
  1. Babino is my least favorite UT linebacker, maybe ever. His 4Q performance was not too bad. He did come up on one play and absolutely blow up an OL guy who probably weighed 100 lbs more than him. Other than that one, same old shit. Can't shed blocks, can't take good angles.
  1. Derry got outrun to the outside by their QB. He also took the worst angle of any of the LB's all night and the running back cut back for about 30 yards. (inside out - you learn that when you are like 10 years old). I don't give a shit what people say about him being a positional guy without the talent. He didn't show either on Saturday.
  1. Can we play Babino and put Norton out there also. Norton blew up some big guys too.
  1. Last thing - Goal line offense. Bean, I really like JC, don't get me wrong. I do think that he did not have that great of a game. It's stupid to nit pick on the plays when he did not follow his blockers, however, I bet his coaches rode his ass in film for not following them. I am not just talking about the goal line either. He simply tried to do too much on at least 4 carries outside of the goal line stand and did not follow his blockers.

a) Goal line 1st down - JC follow blocks, probably a TD to the left side. Not as
obvious as the 3rd down play
b) Goal line 3rd down - Lokey absolutely blows up the outside. Stay on his ass. Easy
   TD.
That's it. I thought we looked very mid level on Saturday. However, I think that with the talent, a few coaching changes (hopefully), and a few butterflies gone, we will beat TCU. In fact, I think we will cover, big time.
