Great Football Notes

Some really good stuff can be found here from Chip Brown. There are good nuggets on Muschamp and his philosophy, Rucker's new role, offseason surgeries, and the early-enrolling freshmen.  The most encouraging thing I saw was this from Mack regarding Jamaal and Jermichael's departure:

"For whatever reason, more are leaving than ever before, and it will probably encourage us to do with the potential of 14 games and more juniors leaving is to not red-shirt as many," Brown said. "We will probably play more guys in their first year anticipating that we will have more leave after their third year and that's OK."

Everything that has happened around this team since the Aggie loss has been really positive and encouraging.  From the hard practices to making players earn their spot, to Muschamp's hire to Rucker's new role, to Mack finally having the revelation that getting great players on the field early is probably a good idea.

I'm really pumped up about Texas football again.  Great job Mack.
