Junior Day Invitees

Soon after the 'horns put the finishing touches on this year's class, top juniors from around the state will be in Austin for two junior day/weekends.  

This is a time when juniors see all that UT and Austin have to offer (insert comment about the fine ass on campus here).  Mack has built the foundation of his recruiting classes with player who commit during or immediately following these events.

Here's a list of juniors (so far) that will be paying the 'horns a visit in February.

February 23rd
DT Jamarkus McFarland of Lufkin
Ryan Swope, 6-0, 195, 4.4, of Austin Westlake

Gilbert, Whaley, Shepard, McFarland, and Pratt will all 4 star recruits at a minimum.  Depending on who you talk to, McFarland, Shepard, or Gilbert are the top recruits in the state.  Loston committed to A&M as a sophomore but he has since decommitted (why bother getting a guy to commit as a sophomore?). He's apparently Shepard's cousin and they may decide to come to Texas together.  Expect the 'horns 2009 class to not nearly be as big as this year's, but it should be stacked with talent.
