MacDuff gone too
Another shoe drops....
"Larry and I met this morning and he informed me that he is not returning for the 2008 season, sighting philosophical differences," Brown said.
Nice.

TENUTA
Relevant to a comment about a possible Akina demotion (see one of the Jamaal Charles threads) and a new DC, I hope that John Tenuta gets a look. He is now out of a job as DC at Georgia Tech, and - by all accounts - acquitted himself well there. He's supposed to be a terrific recruiter, a "take no prisoners" type of guy, with no HC aspirations. That might be interesting.
Tenuta
is the guy the talking heads in Dallas are speculating about. By most accounts, he would be a good hire.
Just as I reported....
...this time last season, we had lengthy discussions with Jon Tenuta. He had Mack's approval and only salary needed negotiation. In reaction, GT made him the highest paid DC in the country. Obviously, he chose to stay at home.
Tenuta received $400,000 for the 2007 season and has a $412,500 guarantee for the first 6 months of 2008. What sucks about this potential hire is that we will almost certainly match his past earnings. Then, as has been Mack's practice, Mack will use the hire to justify matching GD GD's earnings with those of the DC. Gosh...., I think I just threw up a little bit....
Tenuta is...
Greg Davis isn't worth anything more than a Div.3 OC's salary. For him to be paid $400,000+ is an outrage. Talk about flushing good cash down the toilet........
