J'Covan Brown suspended
Brown has been suspended for more than a month from his team at Port Arthur Memorial High after receiving a technical foul during a game.
Johnny Ray Brown said his son did not sign in November because "he was trying to get some things done," including qualifying academically for eligibility as a freshman. Brown has yet to qualify.
Johnny Ray Brown said he considers Henderson a friend but added, "We did some things he asked us to do. J'Covan took an anger management class. Then Terrul still turned his back on J'Covan."
Sounds like a project.

I read this in the statesman too
J'Covan Brown seems like a great player (30 points per game), but the rumors of an attitude problem have always been there. I can't remember Barnes having a player who got technical fouls often, so hopefully he'll be set straight before he takes to the hardwood here, assuming he eventually does.
One good thing: there are rumors that his highschool coach was pressuring him to play elsewhere. Now that they've distanced themselves, it's less likely he'll go in that direction.

that coach seems a little anal
A technical foul doesn't deserve a one month's suspension. There is something else going on there.

Point Guard?
Is he expected to play point guard next year? It seems Texas is not getting anybody else next year ...
