Meet Fozzy Whittaker
I'm a Vondrell McGee fan. I think in certain running offenses he could be an All-Conference player. I wonder a bit about him being elite as Colt McCoy's sidekick.
More on that later. For now, here's your first look at Foswhitt (Fozzy) Whittaker, who will be a redshirt freshman next season for the 'Horns. You'll notice some of that zero-to-gone speed that we got used to from Jamaal Charles. Though in the open field he's not as Pure Fast as Jamaal, Fozzy's initial acceleration is elite.

Looks Great, PB
But how long until everyone here is whining that he's not big/fast/quick/shifty/smart/dumb/manly enough to run for UT? I think it'll be big/dumb/manly.
Seriously, though, he looks like a tiny little super hero. I think Orson used "souljaboy-dancin' turbobastard" to describe K. Moreno. I like turbobastard.
Check out Barking Carnival
Fozzy is the guy I’m most excited about out of all our young skill players. In high school he was a classic one cut and up the field player, perfect for our style of attack. He is so quick in and out of his cuts, and showed surprising strength for a little guy. Probably not who you want with the ball 25 times a game, because he’ll bang his way onto the injured list, but as a returner and change up option in the backfield, we could have quite the little playmaker on our hands.
Notice not big/manly enough already, but CA predicts a turbobastard. Mmmm.
Also, we have a good shot at Darrell Scott from here. That can't hurt.
Yeah, you're right
I'm just not sure how happy I'll be with two 5'10" guys as the starters in my backfield. But hell I'm 6'3", I discriminate against all you midgets.

OK, OK...
not big/dumb/manly/tall enough...
Mario Kart
I like this Fozzy fellow. Charles was kinda like Toad with his speed. Fozzy reminds me of Luigi. Not bad.
But Darrell Scott? He's like a fucking YOSHI!

OK, I know this is weird...
... But Peach is definitely the quickest one. Who says we can't have a girl on our team?
Come to think of it...
Owen Schmitt is probably Bowser:
Ok, Darrell Scott can be Yoshi...
... Because Steve Slaton is Peach. That's perfect.
next year should be interesting
we get fozzy back
because he had injuries and had to sit out
antwann cobb back ... remember we had him until iowa state
hopefully some speedsters @ receivers
maybe darell scott
chiles could progress ... or maybe harris steps up
i don't know
i'm not excited as much as i'm intrigued about what COULD be
we have a few
Malcolm Williams - redshirted
DJ Grant - incoming freshman
Dan Buckner - incoming freshman
not to mention a couple of TEs
Finley and Marshall
Fozzy at Pearland
I went to high school with Fozzy, though left before his senior season (probably his best at Pearland). He was a beast on the field, and generally Pearland's entire offense consisted of giving him the ball, but it worked enough to lead Pearland to the state semi's a year ago. He normally seemed a little small though to be a true UT runner, but he graduated early to come to UT (by one semester) and hopefully they got him on a good weight lifting program to bulk up a bit.
saw him on campus
At the end of the spring semester at the Foundations MIS Business Fair. He was walking around with Chiles and Kindle, other guys in the class, but I only knew it was him because his nametage read "Fozzy."
Anyway, I don't know how big he was when he got here, but when I saw him he was very built, but not too stout. He had broad shoulders and a low center of gravity. Judging from the video, I think he could be a Maurice Jones-Drew type for us: breaks first tackle, good first cut, and tough to bring down.
This is like for every recruit
Every big time recruit has these sick highlight tapes, but it doesn't mean that they will be successes at the college game. Sure, he does look great but don't buy into the hype until he shows it.
How many big time recruits have flamed out over the years? As you go higher up in levels of sport more people get weeded out.

Relationship analogy...
Jamaal Charles was the sex...
sob
I think that
Fozzys best attribute is his balance. I went to Clear Lake High School, and seen him play a couple times. He isn't as big as Jamaal but runs alot like him. Obviously he wont be an every down type of back, but he an be used alot in his next 4 years.

3 things
- He seems to have better field vision than Jamaal
- I like the catches out of the backfield
- He doesn't seem to fear hitting the hole all out

I played with him
This video is from his junior season. He shed .2 off his 40 for his senior season and was completely unstoppable. He had 415 in one game on 30 carries. He is much tougher than other backs his size and can run over smaller linebackers.

Pearland
When I was posting this, I thought of you.
You've been itching for his time to come all season; don't think I didn't notice all your comments. Thanks for all the updates.
