Let me see if I understand this. Muschamp was already set to be the highest paid coordinator in the NCAA next year at Auburn, just ahead of grizzled verteran Jimbo Fisher. He then jumps to the Longhorns, getting $80K more than GD - but no money above his Auburn deal.
Now what could Mack have said that makes you take the kids outta school, wife off the PTA, and away from the elite football conference in the country? My guess it is either an aversion Bama trailer parks or he is now in place as the eventual successor to Mack Brown.
The good news, even if I am getting my exercise by jumping to conclusions, this is just a tremendously invigorating hire by Mack. We wasted so much defensive talent since the MNC - that it was imperative that we get a DC of this caliber. Afterall, he is the highest paid DC in the NCAA.
