Wow. I gotta say I'm beginning to understand what all the hype was about in the pre-season over this kid. Talk about a ball-hawking safety. Unfortunately it's kind of the nature of the position that as a freshman there are going to be handful of costly mistakes but I think this kid more than makes up for it with his playmaking skills as a defender. I cannot wait to watch him for the next 3 or 4 years in Austin. I don't know that I've ever seen a player remind me so much of Bob Sanders.

Yeah, and

Chykie Brown has also looked like a real beast in the secondary as of late. Overall, the progress of the much-maligned young guys is pushing the defense from good to great, esp. as the year rolls on…. I’m looking for Daniel to try to do way too much on saturday and complete maybe two thirds with 2+ INTs.
