North Endzone Seating
I have 2 tickets in the North Endzone for an upcoming game. I live and Lubbock, and have only seen the new endzone from a TV camera perspective. I am in Section 15 Row 5. My last visit to DKR was '99 vs Tech (58-7 good road trip) and I was center of the endzone very last row. I am anticipating a much better experience this time around. Have anyone been able to watch a game from this area of the stadium? Pros/Cons?

Section 15
The row is low and I do not belive thse these seats have a seat back. The positive thing is you have a direct view of the big screen. The seats in the higher rows have seat backs.

The positive thing?
The positive thing is he won’t be told to shut up by people in seat backs.

Pindrop silence
Every game thus far, the north endzone has been quiet (I blame the heat last time). Note to DKR planning committee: Please relocate the band to their previous position near the north endzone.

I'm in section 19
which is in the east corner of the endzone. 15 is in the west corner. Here’s my opinion
PROs
- Although I stand for most of the game because I’m just like that, the seatbacks comfortable and you’re not on top of eachother
- Getting to the seats is cake, the concession area is top notch and you probably wont miss more than a handful of plays if any when you go down there. Restrooms are huge and there is never a line
- Sight lines are pretty good except when the plays are going away from you on the other side of the field. I’m in a higher row than you will be, so your vantage point will be a bit worse.
- Given the last point, godzillatron comes in handy when teams are in the opposite endzone and you can’t miss it.
- The vantage point lets you key in on guys you want to watch (i.e. Orakpo, Houston, Muck, Thomas) and you can spot the running lanes and open seams when they happen
CONs
- I don’t think the Audio/Visual people have figured out the appropriate volume setting for the PA. During the Rice game it was literally painful because the sound comes right at you.
- Because of the space and the relative few rows of seating, the chairback area is not loud or animated unless you happen to be sitting next to a crazy fucker like myself
- The band is pretty far away (temporary seating area in the south endzone)
Overall assessment though is that the Pros substantially outweigh the Cons. I’ve sat all over the place in DKR, and unless you are in club seating you won’t find an area that allows you to take in so much of the game

I'll be in sect 15 as well!
Row 35. Picked up tickets right before the OU game for a pretty penny (which was still like 200% of face value, but whatever). Glad I did it BEFORE we won…ticket prices have gone up.
It’ll be my first game back since the new NEZ came in…I’m damn excited.

Section 15
My season tickets were in section 15 last year during the construction, and I am back to 14 now that the NEZ is complete.
Section 15 is in the center of the NEZ. To be more specific, seat 25 is directly behind the center of the goalpost (well, at least it is on Row 30).
I hope this information helps you figure out your placement. The seats are numbered from west-to-east.
