Thats great, but what have you done for me lately?
Stats for the two teams over the past three games. OSU began the year blowing away opponents, and making a name for themselves, while Texas got off to a solid start of their own.
Which is great, they each find themselves entering the weekend undefeated, but how have they done lately?
OSU's three most recent opponents are Baylor and aTm at home, Mizzou on the road.
Texas has had CU on the road, OU in Dallas, and Mizzou at home.
While I wont make any qualifications of what I think of the comparative strength of schedules, Ill just go ahead and stick with the facts.
While it looks fairly even, I like our ball control to win out. We have a significant edge on First Downs, third down conversions, and time of possession, all of which are related of course. OSU as well has only had one game without a turnover, to the men of Troy (not USC, just Troy). Texas has had 3 turnover free games, including the last two.

“i guess i am a loser” is going on all of my Numbers columns from now on. Also, there will in fact be a numbers column this week! Yay!

Nice work. I agree that we have a very slight lead in numbers. But that slight lead looks far more impressive when one considers strength of schedule. They put up our numbers against ATM and Baylor.

Nice stats
I’m a self-confessed loser, too. Maybe we should start a process group for this or something to work through it.
As for your final comments, I would add that mikey 4 just posted exactly what I was going to say and pulled the chair right out from under me. It’s cool though, I didn’t fall too hard.

I know you guys are just joking around....
but I don’t think the “Stats are for Losers” comment from Muschamp was directed toward obsessive fans who analyze every single play. I sure he is perfectly fine with this- it just means we have diehard fans.
Muschamp was referring to the players when making this statement. It is the same thing in every team sport. (i.e.: in baseball a player who is constantly worried about their batting average reflects poorly as a team player. Stats are fun to look at from a fans perspective, but the players’ role is to play with team unity by combining their best efforts to try and achieve victory.
I hope I’m not stating the obvious here.
"I asked Darrell Royal, the coach of the Texas Longhorns, why he didn’t recruit me and he said: "Well, Walt, we took a look at you and you weren’t any good.

Ha thanks.
I don’t have the dedication to keep one going, or the attention to grammar to make it palatable. I do enjoy contributing when I get a chance though!
