Not at St. Matthews though I have met a couple of students from St. Matthews who are fellow Texas exes. There are about 20-30 Texas grads here on the Island.

Sweet
Can the guy from the J-Post tell us who wins the TX/OSU game because aren’t they like two days ahead of us timezone wise?

London, England
We had 150 screaming fans out to watch the Texas OU game. Oh, and one Sooner, apparently it’s hard for them to get passports. Come join us for a game if you’re ever in London on a fall weekend.

Sorry to dissapoint, old chap...
But we’re mainly Texan expats. There are a few spouses who married into Orangebloodedness and were allowed to keep the funny accents.
Enjoy the real BBQ and TexMex for us!

Napier, New Zealand...
…Well actually DC, but I have been in NZ since the day before we beat OU. I was in line at customs during the game, caught the last 3 mins on espn gametracker. Then was whale watching during the first half of the mizzu game, but it all seems to be going well for us!
Headed back to the north island now, after a nice week of touring the south island. I recommend NZ to anyone thinking of getting away from it all! The people are all super nice, and sparce (especially the south island), no words or pictures can do the views here justice.

I was in New Zealand this summer (winter there...)
Never made it to Napier, but went up the middle of the North Island up from Wellington to Rotorua. Also made it down to the south island for a few days. Went whale watching in Kaikoura, too. It was a lot of fun. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Hong Kong
Actually, I split my time between Chevy Chase, MD, and Hong Kong, but I’ve been here for about a month. (How ‘bout them ’Skins, Thor? Ha, just kidding. I hate ’em.) Thank goodness for ESPN360 and that little radio station in Mexia that doesn’t block out-of-U.S. IP addresses.
There are some really great bars here (some open 24 hr.) but the only U.S. football coverage is NFL so I end up watching/listening from my apartment and trying not to wake up the girlfriend and the several hundred Chinese families that live within 100 yards of me. I’d hate to explain to the Hong Kong police why I was shouting “BOOM MOTHER***!!!” at 5am.

We’re 13 hours ahead of Central Time in the States, so that means some late nights or early mornings to catch games live. Caught the RRR from midnight to 4:00am; worth every minute of lost sleep.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
I was able to watch the OU game via P2P on my computer: although it would be more enjoyable to watch with fellow Texas fans, the game was a pleasure.
Last weekend, my girlfriend obligated me to go to an architectural design show: incredibly, while there, I saw a young Argentine boy wearing a burnt orange UT shirt. I flashed him the hook ’em horns sign, and he grinned and flashed it back. I considered it a good omen.
PB, congrats on your global readership.

I’m far far away from Austin for an year. I stayed up all night “watching” the OU game on ESPN’s gamecast. Any other BON’ers here figure out how to watch the games?

Video, no; audio, yes.
I think unless you’ve got a satellite hookup, you’re out of luck on watching the games live. You should be able to pick up live audio broadcasts, though. Just Google KRQX-FM and you can find their link. They’ve always worked for me. All other online radio broadcasts that I know of are cut off to international audiences, but for some strange reason I can get live audio broadcasts of UT football games from this tiny country music radio station in Mexia.
Also, all Longhorn home game videos (I mean the complete games, not just the highlights) are posted on Mack Brown’s site, but they don’t post them until a few days after the games are played. The CSTV website is brutal to navigate, so try this:
www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com > Multimedia > TexasSports.TV > Football > Past Games
Not as good as watching the games live, of course, but it’s a helluva lot better than nothing.

I found this blog while
working in Balad, Iraq. Now I’m back in Texas but in the spring I’ll be keeping up with the Horns and Burnt Orange Nation in Dubai.

I saw a Bolivian guy in a Texas t-shirt on the bus the Friday before the Oklahoma game and I thought it was definitely a good sign.
