Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Huge 2010 commitment

Rick Barnes is the man. We already have two top 10 players in the 2009 class committed. We have a top 5 player in 2010, and now Daniel Bejarano a five star shooting guard from Arizona has committed to Rick Barnes and co. He is the #16 player according to Rivals, and #3 shooting guard according to scout.

Daniel Bejarano visited the 'Horns last weekend during the Missouri game, and apparently came out impressed.

2010 is going to be the year. Start the celebration!

Very nice

Me thinks that Mack is sharing some of tips and tricks of recruiting?

i don't think so..

..did you see that he from out of state? Rick Barnes does a MUCH better job of getting out of state commits.

But Mack doesn’t need to.

..was just pointing out a flaw in his statement

Mack gets some of the best recruits in the nation, so does Barnes…it just happens that there are more top tier football players here in texas than top tier basketball players

Awesome

Barnes brings a basketball recruit to a football game and gets a committment. Feel the synergy!

I'm not so sure
2010 is going to be the year. Start the celebration!

I really like our chances in 2009, if Balbay pans out the way I’m hoping he will. But I’ll take 2010, too, if you go ahead and make it a package deal now.

Friends may come and go, but enemies accumulate.

It's going to be weird...

… not whining about how all of our good guards are 5’10".

Ugh!

Sun Devil fan here — you guys are getting a good one. ASU thought we had the inside track on landing him, and while we are still holding out hope that he might change his mind since it’s a long ways off till signing day, I’m not optimistic that we’ll be able to sway him from Barnes.

was a surprise for sure

Don’t know if anyone was expecting this. I’ve been told it was even a surprise for the staff.

Very good for sure...

Undefeated, with whatever crazy OOC schedule Barnes cooks up, that would be a feat.

are they that good?

You think they’re a threat to leave after 1 year? I didn’t know they were in the KD range..

Hamilton is

Most people think Hamilton is going to be one and done. He is not in KD range, but 11 players were one and done last year. Bradley is expected to be a 2 year player. Thompson from 2010 is also probably one and done.

Both of them are top 10 players

Bradley is a little undersized for a shooting gaurd and maybe expected to stay for a couple season but Hamilton is really good. He is no KD but i could easily see him leave after 1 year.

All but one

Of the 2007 top 10 class as defined by rivals entered the draft after their freshman years. The 10th guy was the ACC player of the year playing for Coach K, and is back this year.
