Unbeaten teams
watching Tech shred KU it looks like they are gonna be unbeaten going into next week.
Okie st is unbeaten going into today's game. So the question in my mind is what are the stats on playing unbeaten teams in a season.
The Horns will have three this year how many others teams have played that many?
(on top of that they are all conference games).
Another thing to remember the Horns have one more game against the best of the Big XII but
Oklahoma still has Tech and Okie St..
Tech has the Horns, Okie St. and Oklahoma.
Okie St. still has to get by Tech and Oklahoma.
The Horns have made at least a one loss out of our biggest rivals in the conference. So our biggest rivals have at least 2 more games against the best teams in the conference.

Technically we've played 4.
FAU hadn’t lost. Everybody (unless they have a 1st week bye) gets one their first week.
Big 12 was (is) the conference of the undefeated this year:
After Week 6 there were 15 undefeated teams.
In week 7 two of the 5 Big XII undefeated lost. Next best conference, the SEC lost 3 of 4 that week.
Now that OSU (and BYU last week) lost, the Big XII has 2 of the 8 undefeated teams. Ohio State may make that 7 undefeated teams:
Alabama,
Penn State (if they win),
Texas,
Texas Tech,
Boise State,
Utah,
Ball State,
Tulsa (plays Sunday)

maybe a qualifier
Maybe unbeaten after conference play begins actually might matter,
even before the third game there will be lots of 2-0 teams but even as you point out by week six there are some unbeaten teams but by game six you have had to played at least 2 conference games.

Wow. The Tech game could be the last game of the season with two unbeaten teams.

Tech best suited to beat Texas?
…if Tech can follow the formula that marked their 63-21 victory over Kansas on Saturday, the Red Raiders are the team best suited to beat the Longhorns among Big 12 challengers.
The Red Raiders have developed balance in their running game that will force Texas to play them honestly. And their massive offensive line has only allowed three sacks this season, meaning they should be better able to neutralize top Texas pass-rushers like Brian Orakpo and Sergio Kindle.
If Tech can protect Harrell, it will give them the best chance to pick on young Texas safeties Blake Gideon and Earl Thomas — particularly with game-breaking receivers like Crabtree and Eric Morris roaming through the secondary.
And on defense, the Red Raiders appear to be peaking. They have allowed only 23 points in the last six quarters. During a span of 19 defensive possessions, the Red Raiders have allowed only three scoring plays and forced six turnovers.
Life is an Occasion. Rise to it.

Wasn't it just last week...
that they were losing to aggy at halftime? And now they’re situated to beat us?

They have allowed only 23 points in the last six quarters. During a span of 19 defensive possessions, the Red Raiders have allowed only three scoring plays and forced six turnovers.
7 of those 23 points came on a meaningless touchdown scored by KU’s first team against Tech’s 3rd string defense late in the 4th quarter. Basically all the starters sat out the 4th quarter.
Peace
... I'm just sayin'

Remind us would you......
…..who was that against?
Tech beat teams with a .47 winning percentage 29-33
Texas beat teams with a .61 winning percentage 37-24
Texas has beat 3 top teams, 2 of those unbeaten, 1 was number 1 in the country (the win was on the road).
tech beat 1 top 25 team .
Tell the Tech O-line watch what the Horns did to Missouri’s O-line’s splits. Oh bye the way how well does Harrell pass on the run or on his back for that matter?

Not to mention their win over a top 25
was a 2 loss team playing miserable defense.

Wow antiswarm
You are not cocky at all are you buddy. Picking Tech to win 49-24, I think you are taking some drinks out of that cocky fan cool-aid. I am not saying Texas will beat Tech, but Texas will be more than ready to play, and if you really think that Tech’s defense can hold Texas to 24 points, wow I guess you know something about Tech’s defense that the rest of the world doesn’t know. I know one thing, I would not buy into that Tim Griffin blog about Tech’s defense only allowing 23 points in the last 6 quarters. I watched that Kansas game and the KU offense had it’s way with the Tech defense until midway through the second quarter. That is pretty much when the rout started at KU went one dimensional. Just remember buddy I do not believe in your little trying to butter up us Texas fans, remember we can jump on over to the Tech blog and see what you guys are saying. I just read the smack you are talking on ya’lls blog, so quit trying to come over and kiss our asses.

Oh yeah, one more thing.
Missouri had only allowed like 2 or 3 sacks before they played Texas. Yeah Chase Daniel was running for his life the entire game. Gotta love those enormous splits you guys use because I know the Orakpo and the rest of the d-line sure as hell do.
