HS Recruits
Now that 47% of all Longhorn fans are recovering in Cardiac care units across the country following the OSU game, I thought it would be a good time to check on our HS prospects.
Jordan Leslie had a "down game." Not necessarily a reflection of his ability, the offense was balanced, with 5 receivers getting touches:
2 receptions 26 yards 13ypc, 1 TD in a 34 to 14 victory of Dekaney. That brings Leslie to 891 yards for the year and 9TD on a team that's 2-5.

for 2009?
In Texas(according to Scout) the top Texas RB(we don’t usu. go out of state) is Chris Whaley a 4star recruit committed to Texas.
There’s a bunch of 1 stars in TX for 2010, but who knows if they’ll be good?

No
Christine Michael is the best RB in TX in the 2009 class. Whaley is good, but may not even play RB in college (he’s 6 foot 3 inches and Rivals has him listed as an ATH).

Whaley vs. Michael
The only person who thinks Whaley will not play RB is Ketchum from Rivals. Christine Michael is only good at camps, and is no way close to Whaley in real games. I’m not sure which one is more important, but something is really fishy when he only impresses in camps.
98horn, you are right that scout ranks Whaley as the best Texas RB in 2009 class.

Lache Seastrunk
I watched some video on Seastrunk, and liked what I saw. 30% of his highlights are him getting to the edge on HS defenders, so I take that with a grain of salt b/c college defenders are much quicker. He didn’t seem to have breakaway speed when he got into the next level, but he’s 15 or 16, so that may improve. I wasn’t as impressed as say, a DeSean Hales, but he maybe a good pickup.
