Gamblers Anonymous, Week 10
It's been a few weeks since I've been able to look at the lines. For the first time this season, the Longhorns didn't cover vs. the Pokes....I've never felt so good about losing a bet. As always, please chime in with thoughts and let me know if I'm missing anything blatant.
Definites (home team in caps)
Mizzou (-20) over BAYLOR
OKLAHOMA (-21.5) over Nebraska**
Texas (-6) over TEXAS TECH
Tex Christian (-13) over UNLV
**load up the boat pick

TEXAS A&M (-3) over Colorado
MINNESOTA (-6.5) over Northwestern
Louisville (-14) over CUSE
OKIE STATE (-31) over Iowa St
San Jose St (-16.5) over IDAHO

Surely some games will be “closer than the experts think”.

hmmm
The definites seem solid, with the exception of Texas at TTech – while it’s entirely possible that Texas takes the Red Raiders behind the woodshed like they did Mizzou, I wouldn’t bet on it.
A&M should cover against Colorado, since it’s at Kyle Field, they can move the ball and score, and Colorado has scored 14 points in the past two games.

Agree 100%
On Texas, but I always bet the Horns no matter the spread.

A&M vs Buffs
I wouldn’t bet the spread on the A&M game. Colorado is a decent team, and they pass well. A&M is not a good team although their defense is beginning to show signs of life (albeit against Iowa State).
If you really want to bet the A&M game take the line, but I wouldn’t take the spread for anything (and I have been burned twice this season taking the A&M spread).

For a beginner...
what reliable, safe websites are out there, if any?

really a lot to choose from
No personal experience with online sites, but generally I would imagine they have no interest in defrauding people, since the longer they keep their clients happy the more $$$ they’ll make in the long term.
The one thing I would watch for is whether “cashing out” involves a direct deposit to your account, or a check sent from a mysterious non-extradition country. I had a friend who won 5 bills on a lucky parlay, but since they told him a check would not arrive for 3-4 weeks he went ahead and lost it all the next week…

Not sure if it's legit to discuss
which site I like to use. I’ll wait for Bean to say yay or nay on whether it’s okay for me to make a recommendation.

MN/NW
I think Minny/NW might be a definite. ‘Western is without Bacher and Sutton now, leaving them with zero offense. Minny’s D shold hold them to single digit points, like Purdue last week.
