Nebraska - Tech game is a key for 'Horns
Here is the link:
The way to stop Tech - keep them off the field. Nebraska controlled clock for 40 minutes, 29-16 first downs. As a result, Tech only threw 25 passes for less than 300 yards and the game was in Lubbock.
Texas did the same thing last year - controlled clock in Austin for 40 minutes with long drives resulting in touchdowns. Key is Colt being patient as he has all year.

I don't know...
It will be hard to stay on the field for very long in the second half when their defense has crapped out from all of that first half adrenaline and we’re scoring TDs every few plays.

Over confident are we?
Bevo will need all seven stomachs to digest the results, if he is still standing…

secondary...
1st key to our success is our secondary on Saturday night. If our freshmen can step up like they have been then we beat Tech without a problem, if not then it will be a shoot out of epic proportions.
2nd is whoever makes the least amount of turnovers. If Texas can score 2-3 TD’s prior to Tech scoring one, then we win without a fight.
The last two games against Missouri and Oklahoma State, Texas has scored a few TD’s prior to the opposition scoring one. That is a Big Key to our win. Texas can’t allow Tech to come out fast and Air it out, although we can win a shootout match we don’t want that to happen. The best thing that can happen for Texas is Colt not playing in the 4th quarter. Being able to rest him the next 5 games in the 4th quarter will be good for us. Colt has only played the entire game vs Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, everyone else he has come out prior to or early in the 4th quarter. Keeping Colt healthy will mean a lot for us.
It’s going to be a great game this Saturday. This was the one game that has had me worried out of the 4 games against Top 10 teams.
0 turnovers = UT WIN!!!

Would be nice
To chew some clock with long drives that end in 7 points.
Backbreakers.

Getting some
3 and outs, say 3 or 4 of them in the first half would go a long way. I think that if we force a few three and outs AND we can rack up those long scoring drives in the first half, not only will it kill Tech’s hopes, but it will take Tech’s crowd out of the game also.

TECH never dies.
“2nd is whoever makes the least amount of turnovers. If Texas can score 2-3 TD’s prior to Tech scoring one, then we win without a fight.”
Don’t forget about our second half comebacks…Tech doesn’t just lay down. This will be a lot closer than you think.

Speaking of comebacks I hear Texas is pretty good at those also. I keep getting a flashback of a 2003 Chance Mock’s comeback.
