Is Kansas being undderrated?
If not, it looks like a bad year for football AND basketball.
how much of that team are they returning?
really, i don’t know. somebody enlighten me.

Inexperienced and waiting for talent to bloom.
Darrell Arthur, Mario Chalmers, Darnell Jackson and Brandon Rush all went NBA and have stuck according to Kansas website.
So, they’re short on highly skilled players but I’d expect they’ll be tough as nails in the last half of the conference. They’re the defending national champs and they will be beating more than a few people.
Anticipation
I’m thrilled with the football team’s progress – thrilled because I didn’t expect the progress this team has made. There is nothing quite like the joy of a truly pleasant surprise.
The basketball team, on the other hand, has had me in anticipation since the last season ended back in March. I hope I’m not too disappointed if this team fails to live up to my high expectations, but there is nothing I can do to lower those expectations right now. I believe this team is capable of achieving things no previous Texas basketball team has achieved, and I’m expecting a truly great season to come.

if Balbay is good, we're good.
If he’s not, we’re not.

The ESPN poll you linked to has Texas at #8.
Looks like four in the first tier, five in the second.
Is Texas overrated?
I don’t know, but it seems to me #7 is a little too high. DJ was a huge huge part of our team last year, it’s yet to be seen how Balbay can handle the job.
What do you guys think? Do you think we can get to elite 8 again?
