It's early
but Iowa State is KILLING Kansas in both lines. Cycs up 14-0 after 5-6 minutes
Baylor offense looks young
but has potential. I’m not so sure about their defense. Art Briles has clearly made a difference on one side of the ball but they’re still Baylor as far as the D is concerned.
some things ive noticed so far today...
ISU is much better than advertised.
Bradford is on his game with 84 yds in almsot 7 minutes of play vs Baylor.
If You See Kay, Oh You
And...
Arnaud is 6-6 for 50 yards. I’ve never seen that from him.

this is some great quarterbacking we are seeing in the Big XII this year.
whomever the 1st and 2nd team QB’s are for Big XII honors this year will certainly deserve it, but it will also be very debatable as to who is the clear winner or the most deserving of the honors.
If You See Kay, Oh You
hmmm...
seen enough of the baylor game.
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
Do you feel better or worse about yourself?
by HornPossessed on Oct 4, 2008 12:39 PM CDT up reply actions
Worse.
I don’t care what anybody says about how great Penn State is. Their offense will get shut down by a fast defense. They don’t look anywhere near as good as OU or MiZZOU.
I know it's Baylor but
I expected more of a fight from them. As it stands, they are down 28-0 at the end of the 1st.
its almost sad
More Sooners in the stand than Bears
Perhaps the most recognizable mascot in sports, and certainly the toughest looking, Bevo is a fixture

Did Kansas send their basketball team to play football today?
20-0 Iowa State. Kansas has 33 yards of total offense midway through the 2nd quarter.
what's that game on?
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
gotcha...
thanks.
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
Iowa State has scored 20 points?
And KU has zero WTF? During the USF game I kept saying KU’s glaring lack of strength on the O-line and lack of a running game would eventually get them. I didn’t think it would be Iowa State doing to catch them on it….
Good for Chizik.
Was Florida overrated or what?
ARKANSAS is hanging in with them in the 4th quarter.
by goingforthecorner on Oct 4, 2008 2:00 PM CDT reply actions
You knew Arkansas
was better than they showed last week. Florida? Go figure.
Just stepped in to see what condition...
Geez, Baylor has 180+ rushing on OU with 4 minutes still left in third. They ain’t gonna win but looks like Griffin is feasting on the OU DEs. Chinks in the armor.
we can only hope
Chiles’ll kill ’em on that play
OU has a weakness?
NO WAI! I’ve been watching ESPN all day (since they don’t have FSN here) and they’ve been sucking up on OU all day.
I’m going to guess that Griffin is a little faster than Colt, so I don’t know what we can really take out of this game. It’ll be unfortunate if we don’t have Fozzy for RRS.
by goingforthecorner on Oct 4, 2008 2:11 PM CDT up reply actions
Griffin is not just quick, but makes fast decisions on the corner.
Colt can do that but I doubt he has that kind of quickness. Still, it’s good to know how to victimize OU.
zoooooooooooooom
Gators 83 yards in about 6 plays, 4 explosives + a 10-yard run. TD
espn, deuce and news
all have bonus coverage. Ain’t technology great?
3 plays in and
Kansas St. is proving how terrible their run defense is…
by HornPossessed on Oct 4, 2008 2:40 PM CDT up reply actions
Tech running the ball well this year
Which is huge.
Of course, KSU has one of the worst defenses in CFB.
--PB--
This could be a great one.
Iowa State just recovered an onside kick. Down by 2, at their own 41, with 1:13 left.
I hope this game becomes a 60+ point shootout.
I want excitement before the Texas game today, dangit!
by HornPossessed on Oct 4, 2008 2:49 PM CDT up reply actions
LMAO
Good thing I bet the over on the Tech game.

Stupid move by Tech
Going for it on your own 30? This early?
by goingforthecorner on Oct 4, 2008 3:15 PM CDT reply actions
Its Mike Leach, and while it was stupid, I like that there is one guy out there
who stays away from the status quo.
It's a budget thing
Suspend 300 band members for Ohio State, that’s 300 more big-dollar tickets to sell. Like the sledgehammer comment.
Is it any wonder
that bradford has great stats? he was still in the game with under 5 mins left and they were up 42-17.
Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. OU SUCKS!!

run up as many points as possible.

Yeah,
like leaving Colt in with score 38-3 last week. I know, it was 3Q, but it was still pointless and put him at risk.
Its not even the same thing
Bradford was in on the drive that started in the 4th quarter, with 11:08 left on the clock, with the Sooners up 42-17. Bradford also threw the ball eight times on that final drive. Halzle came in with 5 minutes left to go in the 4th, up 49-17.
Last week, Colts last action was on a drive that started in the 3rd, with 10:20 minutes left on the clock, with us up 38-3. Colt threw 4 times, one being a RB screen that lost 2 yards. Chiles came in with 3:39 to play in the 3rd, up 45-3.
Thats Bradford being played an entire quarter more than Colt was, with the same lead, and even less time for the opponent to make anything happen.
McCoy played two series in the second half, I don’t care what score you have, that is more than acceptable. Even Vince played at least one series after halftime against CU in the big twelve championship, and we were up 42-3 at that point. I dont like the idea that its putting him at risk to play football. Hes a football player. If the coach wants to ease up on the other team with 18 minutes of the game left, thats fine. But I dont see a reason to argue that he shouldnt play the majority of three quarters of football. The kid isnt made of glass, and any gametime rep is worthwhile.

God my math is terrible
Must be all the beef going to my brain, it wasnt the same lead, but that doesnt change my point, not matter how big of a lead you have, you are perfectly justified to play 3 full quarters of starter football.
by BoddickerIsClutch on Oct 4, 2008 4:12 PM CDT up reply actions
The wind seems to have a role in the Tech
I understand it’s gonna be windy for the CU game, too.
Boulder weather a few minutes ago
Cloudy. 74 degrees, wind 9 gusts to 17 mph from SW . . . humidity 28% . . . chance for showers this evening. Don’t like this last.
I checked it, too. That wind is gonna shift to NW.
20% chance of rain, getting down to 47 by morning. So, a front coming through.
i bet this was fun to watch...
Bo Levi Mitchell pass complete to Aldrick Robinson, fumbled, recovered by UCF Jason Venson at the UCF 35, Jason Venson for a loss of 4 yards, lateral to Sha’reff Rashad for a loss of 6 yards, lateral to Joe Burnett for 60 yards, to the SMU 15, tackled by Emmanuel Sanders.
If You See Kay, Oh You
kinda slow today so far. Things will pick up when the Texas game starts

I'm way late with this but did anyone see the Graham Harrell campaign commercial? They played some of it earlier in the game.
The kid’s terrible on camera, but the commercial was pretty funny.
