Surprise teams of 2008

What teams have been surpising so far in 2008? In terms of dissapointment and joy...

I think Uconn, OK state, Penn St., Georgia Tech, bama, and the most surprising....Vandy.  These teams have done fairly well, especially Vandy.

Dissapointing wise.....Clemson Tigers...i bought into the hype

But seriously lets look at Vandy. I know they won todays game only bc of a auburn mistake...but  Could they potentially be 10-2 by the end of the year?

@ Miami W

S. Carolina W

Rice W

Ole Miss W

Auburn W

@ MSU W

@ Georgia L

Duke W

@ Florida L

Kentucky W

Tennessee W

@ Wake Forest W

6-2 SEC????? Very possible in my opinion

Cotton Bowl or Sugar bowl??

definitely bowl eligible

8-4 looks more realistic although 10-2 is entirely possible

o i forgot a dissapointment

i vote maryland because they lost to a pathetic virginia team. not just lost, got blanked my them. i’m a huge horns fan but i go to school in maryland and i keep wondering how the hell did darius heyward-bey, maryland’s best player, not compile any stats whatsoever in a game against a virginia team that got blown out by duke, a week after we beat clemson. doesnt make sense whatsoever.

UCONN

Is not a surprise team. They were better last year than they are this year, and have been killed by injuries the last couple weeks. Case in point: last night against UNC, where they got bitch-slapped.

Because of the injuries, I think they fall into the “disappointing” category.

Never, EVER...

…buy into the hype of Clemson or Iowa. Never. At least not while Tommy Bowden and Kirk Ferentz are there. I have no idea why Ferentz gets so much hype as an elite coach or why he’s paid so much. Maybe he’s a great tactician or something and should be in the NFL because his college teams are always much worse than they should be.
