Dear Robert (May I call you Bob?),

First let me start by saying congratulations on your 5 stupendous victories and by saying I am a big fan-Congratulations, and I am a big fan. Now to the heart of the matter. Bob, I saw highlights of your games thus far and I have to say that, though impressive, your team is beginning to look fatigued. In particular sam looks plum warn out. I think it would behoove you to sit him on saturday. Save him for Kansas. Hazle is more than capable and needs the work. Seriously he is putting on the weight. I also couldn't help but notice that your d-line did not look motivated. Bob, they are overworked and need a vacation. American is always running last minute deals to Temp.., uhhh Baton Rou...urrr L.A.?? , maybe send them to an OC day spa. Lastly, do something for yourself, maybe watch from the stands. Let your coaches have their day. Don't you think its time??? Oh and the Game time changed, its on sunday, tell your team.

This post represents your level of ignorance I mean stupidity. You’re right, none of us can read. We all drive tractors, we all live on farms, a lot of us have no teeth, and we’re all a bunch of inbreds. However, if you think that about all of us Okies then you surely most think that about the great Darrel K. Royal. I mean after all, it took an OKIE/ex-OU football player to lead your team to 3 of their 4 national championships. Keep posting stupid comments.

Second of all, no one here mentioned the fine science/trade of agriculture. Farming is a noble profession. And even if we wanted to make fun of farmers, we’ve got our own group of misguided Aggies down here to make fun of.

Regarding DKR, Texas has a long history of immigrants escaping bad situations elsewhere and making good within its borders.

All that said, the bottom line is that you proved your ignorance and stupidity by coming to a Texas website and writing an “enraged” paragraph of a response to a fairly lowbrow insult (no offense LiC). What’s worse is that you weren’t even clever about it.

Don’t you have something better to do? I'm not here to pick fights

billb, my job profession consists of fighting so I really try to avoid them if necessary. I have just always found it interesting in observing what people from the other side of the fence think of us Sooners fans. I myself and pretty much any other Okahoma fan hates Texas, but from observing you guys it seems that if I was laying on the side of I-35 in Dallas with my intestines hanging out, you guys would continue to drive on due to the mere fact that I was wearing a crimson colored shirt with the work “Oklahoma.” And I’m all about jokes, etc billb. I just enjoy stirring up controversy.

I would have thought the tone of the initial post would have givn away the toung in cheek nature of this thread. I do not think anyone here at BON really believes that OU fans are toothless, ignorant, live in trailers (in which they brew crystal meth) or think poorly of Sooner fans in general. Further, I think we all support you and your service to our country and love having fans from other sites in for discussion.

As far as pulling over to help you on I35, it depends on where on I35; ther are places I would not pull over to help my own mother.

I don’t hate any OU fans or anyone from Oklahoma (including you), and I realize there are plenty of smart, hard working, good folks up there. But you have to admit, that’s why some guy attacking someone in bar because he has a Texas shirt on and ripping his testicles off is so outrageous. It looks bad for the fanbase and it evinces some serious anger issues with some of you.

People who purposely troll for a fight usually get one (I admit what that Texas fan did was provactive, but ripping his testicles off…? C’mon!!).

If you come on a Texas board this week you are going to see some serious smack talk, and I would expect the same on the Sooner boards. Don’t act so insulted in such an inappropriate way. That’s naive… and I suspect you are NOT naive soldier. BTW, sincerely, thanks for your service to our country.

Also if you were on I-35 bleeding to death I wouldn’t care what shirt you had on, I would stop and help you and that is the kind of character we have around here.

I expect a close game… but I hope we smash you guys into the turf in Dallas on Saturday.
