Great article on Orangebloods
Just found this from Chip Brown on orangebloods from Yahoo Sports. http://texas.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?ReturnTo=&sid=&script=content.asp&cid=858526&fid=&tid=&mid=&rid=
Once I posted this and tried the link, it didn't bring up the entire article. Instead - link to http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/teams/tth and see the article headed "Let's go inside the football mind of Will Muschamp"
May be old news to some of you, as it seems to be from Friday. I really like the fact that Muschamp doesn't wait for halftime to make his adjustments, but has the entire defensive coaching staff involved in making adjustments after every series. Hell, sometimes in the past we didn't make adjustments until after the end of the 4th quarter of the OU game! The best part for me, though was at the end, as Chip described the Boom MF approach to the upcoming game.
"When WLM opened his meeting with the defense last Sunday, he asked 14 times - I'm not kidding - 14 times: "Who are we playing this week?"
Fourteen times his players responded, "Colorado." Each time WLM got louder. Each time the players got louder. Something tells me the Longhorns will not be thinking about Oklahoma when they walk onto Folsom Field."

One additional point
Would you like to be a UT defensive player walking back to the sideline, who had not given his absolute best effort on that last play? I didn’t think so.

Sorry
Checking the link, it appears that you can’t read the entire text. Here is the site on Yahoo that leads to the entire article. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/teams/tth

Good insight on Muschamp.
Makes me feel better about OU. Thanks for posting.

Looks like
Yahoo has taken the link off their site, so it is no longer available without a subscription.
The gist of the article was how Akina and Muschamp work together, and how the defensive coaching staff get together after every series. Each assistant has responsibility for a particular aspect of the opposing offense. They then make adjustments as needed. What a concept! Instead of explaining after the game that the other team didn’t do what you thought they would, you change your tactics on the fly.

The new interactive model takes over.
The old model falls by the wayside.
Much harder to fool all the coaches all the time.
