I liked the series...quality stuff
Something that might have been worth addressing in more depth is whether the wide o-line splits in the Air Raid preclude the robust running game you mention – at least when faced with UT/OU level quickness on the d-line/linebacker level.
P.S. Your initial argument with corn blight really kicked it up a notch…still pissed about the Osborn years?
