Not Clemson
There are too many quality current HCs available, as well as OCs and DCs that will take jobs over Muschamp right now. He may go somewhere, but Clemson is pretty much the top vacancy in the country, and he isn’t the top available candidate.

It's arguable
While Tennessee long-term has much higher potential, If Muschamp wants to get credit for turning a team around, it’s more likely at Clemson in the suck that is the ACC than at Tennessee where he’ll have to play FL and GA every year.

Good point, but
That’s like saying Muschamp would prefer Red Bull to a good night’s sleep.
Yeah…go figure THAT analogy out! BOOM MUTHAS!! ;)

Honestly
Muschamp doesn’t strike me as the type of person to interview with another team while he still has two regular season games left. Reports are that his wife loves Austin and is tired of moving around. But, then again Muschamp is a manly man and maybe she is just along for the ride.

And Kevin Durant is coming back for his sophomore year, right?
It sucks, but with recruiting demands the way they are, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Muschamp may interview during the season so that he can accept a job the day after the A&M game (or hopefully the Big12 title game).
Here’s hoping, that if he leaves, he requests permission to coach Texas defense through a bowl game. Clemson is a great job. You can recruit the South and not have to play against SEC teams. A good coach can do well in the ACC quicker than he could at a down program in a tougher conference (see Tennessee). I’m sure a 5 year contract (and the stability it would bring to the Muschamp household) would be enticing for them as a family.

I'm sure she loves Austin...
but she’d probably love him making 2-3X his current salary!

The report states...
he is NOT currently interviewing for any positions. He supposedly told them if they want to interview him, wait until the season is over.

matter of time?
I think he is gone just a matter of when, hate to lose him but he deserves a shot to be head coach and mack brown isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, plus they are grooming the great MAJOR for the HC job

Hopefully not.
No matter how much Mack loved the guy, would he have hired a DC if he expected him to leave after one year? I don’t think he would because hiring a third DC in 3 years would seem disruptive and counter-productive to the program. I suspect Mack may have some understanding with Muschamp that he would at least stay 2 or 3 years. Good HC jobs are avaiable evey year, but not the chance to play a major role in a NC.
