Blake Gideon's injury status...

Watching Blake Gideon fold over this weekend like a pancake literally scared the S$*t out of me...  I know that he doesn't have a concussion, but I can't find anything else on him? It looked as though he was completely knocked out for a few... He was havin a great day too...Causing a fumble and making big hits.  Let's hope he has a speedy recovery

How bout Christian Scott coming in and absolutely playing bruising football?? Glad to know the Kids behind Williams and Gideon have some fire!!

Hook em!

Mushchamp says in the highlights from the game that Gideon is “going to be just fine.” No update, though I heard he was taken to the hospital and they determined he did not have a concussion. How that’s possible I’ll never know.

I really love how the UT Def seemed to feed off of that hit...

in totally the RIGHT sorta way. That RB from Kansas was lowering his head in a borderline illegal way, and Texas’ Def adjusted nicely going lower and taking his legs out from under him and really laying the lumber to him in an entirely clean way. I think we had one QB roughing that was right after that which the announcers said was really borderline, and ceratainly there were a few other instances where UT players could have really ‘blown up’ Kansas players but played hard with restraint. Coach Boom boyz really made the difference on Saturday, across the baord as a D-unit!

I thought he was dead

Seriously, I said out loud, “They just snapped Gideon’s neck… he’s dead.” It’s a miracle he’s fine.

No

While there is no certified definition, concussions usually at least require amnesia or confusion. Wikipedia is a beautiful thing.

In addition

He took the brunt of the hit to his jaw. The jaw is a funny thing. If you bust it just right, your body shuts down and you get KTFO! Evidence

Perhaps the most recognizable mascot in sports, and certainly the toughest looking, Bevo is a fixture
