Cosby, but not Shipley, named Biletnikoff Finalist

Congrats to Quan for being named a Biletnikoff Award Finalist, as one of the top 10 receivers in the country.

I realize that nobody on our team is going to win this award, but how can Jordan Shipley be left off of this list?

Shipley has more receptions, yardage, and TDs than Cosby, not to mention 2 huge return TDs.

I'm not saying Quan shouldn't be on the list, but if you are going to select one Longhorn, wouldn't you choose Shipley?

Amazing that we’ve played all but 3 of those other nominees. If I weren’t lazy, I’d look up how Shipley’s numbers compared to each of those opponents in those games. But alas, I’m lazy.

Shipley is great but...

I really think Cosby Deserves to be on this list.

I feel bad for Cosby sometimes because all the talk is McCoy-Shipley. I think it was pretty evident when we were without Cosby that this offense struggled (Tech).

That Being said if Cosby is on the list Shipley should be too.

Cosby's dad should have roomed with Bra McCoy at Abilene Christian.

Then he and Colt would be roommates and fishing buddies and that’s ALL any announcer would EVER talk about while a game is going on and you were trying to watch the freaking action.

I'm sure the decision

was based in part on Cosby being better-regarded entering the season. And decision may have been made before Cosby missed most of the Tech game and fell behind statistically.

I regard Shipley as the biggest surprise on the team, the more important receiver, the more versatile player. And he’s got a roommate I pull hard for, too.
