Sometimes a pirate can beat a soldier...
Is it just me, or does it seem like the recent surge in pirate attacks around the world is correlated with TTU's success? In all honesty, TTU's doing unbelievably well as pointed out by dimecoverage "Four-hundred ninety-nine pass attempts. Six interceptions thrown. Five sacks allowed. Tech’s penchant for avoiding negative plays has been remarkable." (Don't know how to link). For me, and any true Texan, I believe, the next best scenario to UT in the MNC is TTU in the MNC and UT in a serious bowl game. Call me crazy, but any Texas team on a national stage is a good consolation prize even though UT is certainly not out of it.
Speaking of those unbelievable Tech numbers along with numerous other stats (ie. high powered Big 12 offenses, etc.), is college football parity dead after its brief stint? Of course some will point to Utah, BYU, and even Ball State as evidence it is not, but who truly believes that any of these teams would win 6 out of 10 against the upper 2/3 of the Big 12 or SEC? It's interesting to watch the year over year shifts in quality of various conferences. I propose a state law to bar foreign state recruiting of Texas high school players by outside states. Would it be struck down in a court challenge? Almost definitely, but it would probably buy us a season.

If Texas
could close our borders to other colleges from taking our high school players, UT, Tech and every other Texas school would own college football. Period. Something like 300+ kids sign with D-I schools every year from Texas. That’s absurd. Take the top 75-100 HS kids each season and spread them out among the big three Texas universities and it would be the nastiest domination any sport has ever seen.
sometimes........
Thanks for the kind words cpa………I think we should all count ourselves lucky this year…going forward under Obama’s plan if a team goes up by more than one touchdown, that team’s points will be redistributed to the more unfortunate team. However, in the end, all participants will be give a trophy so they can feel good about themselves….(at least the aggies will get something out of their mess).
Big 12 RULES the country and Tech RULES the Big 12.

Easy on the politics, big boy. This ain't Lubbock, we've got some diversity here, hence
politics and religion are off limits in this bar.
Take me to Miami
After we dominate “Mobiiehoma”…………..its on to Miani (short stop to kick the tigers)
after Tech loses to ou,
they will prepare for the Cotton Bowl!
Don't Get too Happy
…just yet.
You beat us. Fair and square. However…you caught us playing the worst game we’ve played all season. And you beat us in the last second.
We played a nearly flawless game against OU at a neutral site and beat them by ten points. My point? You’re a 7-point dog to Oklahoma going into Norman. Nebraska took you to OT.
TTech has flaws and weaknesses. Stoops is a genius at exploiting these chinks in the armor. I hope OU beats y’all because that’s what needs to happen in order for Texas to get a chance at playing in Miami.
It's Mean to Wean
Flag on the play
I hope raider fans don’t get an excessive celebration flag thrown on the fanbase even before the OU game.
