The "Three-Way Tie"
http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/11115692
The best part about this post is they mention Texas once. If anything, they should not even mention Tech as the only way there can be a three-way tie is if Tech loses which would assure them to drop at least one spot in the BCS (Below Texas).
This is a technical 3 way tie, but really, it's only about Texas and Oklahoma if they do indeed win.

CBS
It would have been nice to mention the neutral field handling of the Sooners by Texas and the last second loss to Tech that could have easily gone either way. Luck of the draw I guess. CBS should stick to what it does best by cranking out more CSI episodes. That or maybe some new Murphy Browns.

Face It
In a three way tie… we’re doomed. Texas gets no love from the press / coaches.

are you guys kidding?
All the press has been talking about for the last 2 weeks is how ridiculous is was that OU was ranked ahead of us! Stop with this “no one respects us” nonsense!

Agreed
It’s not true, and we sound like a bunch of whiners when we keep saying it over and over.

God bless you sir,
I have been letting all the nay-saying get me down, thinking we would be passed. Your comment was like a bucket of ice water to the face. Im refocused now

First, I believe that OU will beat Tech and OSU, so we will have the opportunity to see just how wrong you are.
Second, no one is more pissed off than I am about the prospect that OU will land-thief their way into the Big 12 game. A good friend of mine from law school went to OU, and I can’t even imagine the shit I will get if OU gets the nod. Plus, there is nothing I would rather do in January than go to Florida, so I hope I’m wrong (but I doubt that I am).
Third, while I didn’t mention the press/coaches specifically, I agree with premise that the press and coaches don’t really respect UT. You really only have to look at the past human polls for evidence on that. And, while you may not have been paying attention to Longhorn football back in 2005 (or any college football…or any show on ESPN at all), I remember that season vividly. Including the absolute love-fest that everyone had over USC. The endless talk about how that USC team was the best in the history of college football, all before they even played the championship game, was nauseating. Moving to today, the only person on ESPN that talks about Texas being the best in the Big 12 is Herbstreit. Now, you can draw whatever conclusions you want. I choose to believe that it means the press doesn’t have much respect for Texas. You obviously take it to mean that they just LOVE Texas. I’ll give you credit for your positivity. It is very admirable.
Fourth, as I said earlier, I hope I’m wrong. I want to go to Miami just as much as anyone else here. The difference is that I see what has happened (I.e., OU being ranked ahead of Texas in the human polls, only falling once they had a buy week and didn’t play), and I look at their schedule of Tech and OSU, and I can’t help but see us getting passed. SHOULD we be ranked higher than OU? Absolutely. Will we be? Let’s wait and see.

Solution:
I’m just going to come out and say what we’re all thinking. The north division should be left out of the Big 12 Title game this year. Instead, winner of OU v Tech versus Texas. Problem. Solved.

Mini BCS
I like it. We should have a mini BCS inside of the Big 12 and the top two ranked teams compete for the Big12 Championship.
Maybe it could be stated that if the second ranked team in one division is ranked more than 10 spots ahead of the winner of the other division, then the second place team gets to go to the CG.

Do not overlook Missouri...
this is a game that Missouri will be expected to lose by EVERYONE but playing before a "home crowd’ with a chance for redemption for Chase D. The Big 12 South champion should be very wary of this game – we saw how ugly it can get when Texas plays an almost perfect game and Missouri does not – I do not expect the same effort from the Tigers this time…….
