Don't read the article on the Fanhouse...

Because it will make you want to die. It makes me want to vomit/diarrhea and then die.

As hard as yesterday's loss was to accept, we could still cling to the amazing three game strech prior to it and know that we still have a great team that has accomplished more than any other team this season. And i don't think that's very arguable.

And yet, it seems some are still so quick write us off yet again, after an amazing game that we were thisclose to winning.

Some excerpts:

"The loss seriously damaged Colt McCoy's Heisman campaign. He played well in the second half, but now he's been surpassed. McCoy knocked off Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel in consecutive weeks; now, Graham Harrell has done him in. If Tech keeps rolling, there's no way Harrell can be denied the trophy."

If Harrell wins a Heisman trophy, I think I will lose my mind. He is a good quarterback and certainly has played well this year, but i just don't see how you can put him at the front of the Heisman trophy race. But i guess that's why many of us hate the Heisman's hype: It seems like a prize to the team that is hyped at the time.

"So now that there's an opening at the top of the polls, does Tech occupy it? No other undefeated team has a win that's even close to tonight's. Sure, Alabama beat Clemson when the Tigers were #9 and Georgia when the Dawgs were #3. They were both overrated, and I suppose you could make the case that Texas was too."

All there is to say is WTF????? This loss hurt, but did anyone think that anyone would be saying we were overrated in the mold of CLEMSON or GEORGIA???

We have three of the best wins that any team has this season, back to back to back. And we almost beat a damn good Tech team in Lubbock. Overrated? I'll leave this to y'all to rip.

Clemson is not even ranked anymore. Bama has not beat anyone of real significance other than UGA. UGA’s only big win was over LSU. They squeaked by South Carolina and got spanked by Florida.

I would put Tech at #2 ahead of PSU.

Texas will probably be rated #4.

I think they’ll put Tech at 3rd, but I think Florida should be 3rd.

no doubt

that the USA today polled f’d up rating us #7. Absolutely ridiculous that we could fall 7 slots on losing to the now #3 team in the nation on the last play of the game after storming back. Polls are so stupid…“what have you done for me lately?”

It is curious...

…to me why Texas would fall below a team they beat (OK). Tech absolutely shouldn’t be #1, #3 possibly. Tech still has two really good teams to play and I doubt they’ll win out. There are 4 evenly talented teams in the Big 12 South, unfortunate that only two will get BCS bowls. The Big 12 South is beating itself up, while Penn St. benefits from an easier conference.

I have to say that Texas impressed me last night (beside causing me to make an appointment with a Cardiologist). They came back from a huge deficit to one play from winning the game. They are a great team and shouldn’t fall beneath OK or USC. Good luck the rest of the season.
