i’ve got an essay to write today, but i’kll be making an appearance every once and awhile
here’s to OU and Texas Tech having horrible games, with terrible sputtering offenses and inept horrible defenses and OU winning 3-0 in quadruple overtime because no one could score.

Yep....that'd be the perfect scenario.
Minus the essay I also have to write today….stupid seminar papers.

If they started up a rivalry with Tulane. They could keep the t.u., and actually have a chance of long term relevancy.

"Our body of work stands for itself."

You youngsters get your papers finished so you can watch some football!
somebody please tell me who to hope wins..
i refuse to pull for oklahoma, but if they won and we win the tiebreak i’d be happy. Harrell and Crabtree are both D-bags so i refuse to pull or cheer for them either..Who are you guys hoping wins this game?
My Preferred Scenario

Oklahoma
It sucks, but Oklahoma winning provides us with far more scenarios for the MNC game. Not to mention that there is no chance of Kansas City for Texas if Tech wins.

in all honesty
I dont wanna go to Kansas City. Mizzou on a home game where they are the HEAVY underdog and the fact that they could send us to the Holiday Bowl by beating us after the shalacking we gave them…not something I want to experience. Just root for Tech today and then Mizzou in December. Texas walks into Miami.
Not if they can help it

Who should I root for?
I have three seemingly boring games on tv right now, purdue-indiana/wvu-louisville/michigan-ohio state. Do any of these games have any impact on us at all? Would a win by either wvu or louisville somehow make cincinnati look worse (and therefore ou)? I want to watch football, but I just don’t care about any of these games…

Ughhhh
Already disgusted by the Tech-OU coverage.
Watching nearly 3 quarters of Mich and OSU I have come to two conclusions
1 The ABC trio of announcers need to go away. Bob Griese openly admits during the broadcast he is rooting for Michigan.
2. I can’t believe Michigan fielded a team this year. The whole team should be ruled ineligible.

Florida Lost to Ole freaking Miss
I love how everybody in the country seems to completely ignore the fact that Florida loss to Ole Miss AT HOME. Its even worse when CBS does a Florida game, Gary Danielson can’t stop talking about “the perfect storm.” He completely ignores the fact that they lost to Ole Miss. They also use the BCS rankings when they have the teams on the scoreboard even though everybody uses the AP Poll. I bet you they will build the SEC championship game as the same as Ohio State vs. Michigan a few years ago. You could make a case that USC has a better resume, so far, than Florida. Their resume is basically the same as USC’s. A dominating win over an average Georgia team just like USC over tOSU. They pummeled a terrible LSU team similar to USC’s win over Oregon.Their resume’s are basically the same except Florida gets a pass to losing to a mediocre Ole Miss while people keep punishing USC to losing to be a pretty good Oregon State team. I hate the SEC and I hate CBS/Gary Danielson even though he is the best color commentator out there.

HELP
I am in Rome and have sleep all day just so I can watch the game at 2am
Any idea on web links where I could see the game.
On a personal note, I am very disappointed in the Rome Texas Ex’s Chapter.
Every other country from Brazil to Sydney has a great Texas Ex’s Chapter. Renting out pubs to watch games at insane hours. The Rome chapter made no effort to even try to get a party going with a sling box to watch the game.
On a positive note, I have ran into about 20 Texas Ex’s with the same problem
Should have gotten that sling box.
Thanks

two most overrated teams in college football right now
Michigan State (aka East Lansing Aggy) and LSU both being soundly beaten.
Of course, LSU will lose by 20 today and then beat Arkansas with a fourth quarter comeback next week and get voted back into the top 25.
Anybody watching
Miss.-LSU? Wow! Snead just passed Ol Miss length of the field on 3 passes, all perfect and two against excellent coverage
I wonder
if LSU can come back and beat Ole Miss?

are you hoping
for two Big 12 teams in BCS NC game?
In Mack Brown We Trust!
I would like a rematch, dont get me wrong…but there’s nothing better than showing the SEC we can play defense. We may not be able to catch a gift wrapped interception, but we CAN play D
the B XII can play D, yes; however what is being forgone in the equation is the much more difficult task of playing solid offense.
there are times when the O’s in the SEC can play with the big boys, however the basis that saying I kept you from doing something when it might not have happened anyway is distasteful. some categories im curious about as far as comparing defenses are
TFL
Sacks
Takeaways
Fumbles or Int’s
how many 3 and outs per game
drives inside the 20 that dont result in points
im sure there are more, but i cant think of any right now. to me, these are a bigger test to say “we stopped you/prevented your offense from succeeding. perhaps the "good” rb’s might have had a bad game and didnt do well against a particular d or a qb couldnt get going. yds dont really tell a full story of a game.
If You See Kay, Oh You
i'd be terrified to try and match up the speed that Florida has..
but it’d be interesting to see. I do think we’d beat BAMA by 14 at least

Right….because they’re losing to an unranked team at home. Flashbacks of Troy anyone?

Buyout
He signed a ten year contract in 2005, seven games into the season. Peter King reported in 2007 that the buyout was $21 million but that was referening if an NFL team wanted him. Haha. I’m assuming it would be the same if the University fired him, though.

Win 3-0 with FG in Quad-overtime?
And not because of good D, but instead perhaps due to 18 turnovers resulting in a night-long battle between the 40 yard lines?
not likely, i'm afraid
