OU over Texas by 4 points in BCS?
Here are some thoughts about why OU should not be ranked above Texas in any poll ......
Ok, Texas beats an impressive OU squad 45-35 in October.
OU playes Tech and runs up the score 65-21.
Texas dominated KU 35-7 at KU.
Texas played at Tech and was put in a similar position as OU put Tech and was good enough to turn the game around (in Lubbock) and go up by 1 late in the game only to have Tech win it on a last second play having the ball last.
Texas only gave up 35 to OU and scored 45.
.....
So what does Texas need to do to impress voters for the BCS? beat A&M by 80??
It is ridiculous to be sweyed by margin of victory especially when the home team is the one with a big score.
I wonder what the tie breaker would be if OU and Texas tie in the BCS polls when they (the Big12) need to decide who will go as the South rep. for the Big12.
Instead of highest ranked, throw out the lowes rank then go to head to head. That would give you Texas

Ok, I must have looked at the USA Today Poll. Thank God!, atleast the computers can get it right and take the emotion out of it. Some of the voters for the USA Toady/Coaches poll need to have thier votes checked and published. There must be so biased voters for the inconsistancies and differences that stick out like a sore loser. I was going to be extremely upset if the BCS standings were like the USA Today/Coaches Poll.

Mark Schlabach
Mark Schlabach is an ESPNU College Football “Expert” but thinks OU is better then Texas. Texas should send him a tape of the Texas/OU Game.

Big 12 Tiebreaker
If for any reason two teams are tied in the BCS (very unlikely with all those decimal places) rule 6 and 7 apply.
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage (excluding exempted games) shall be the representative.
7. The representative will be chosen by draw.

Are you sure it's two?
One of the first things it says in the tiebreaker procedure is that if one of the procedures can eliminate one of the three tied teams, then that team is thrown out and the others are reviewed head-to-head. That means we just have to tie OU in the BCS standings from my POV. That’s one ten-thousandth of a point that we don’t have to worry about. Woo.
