we lost at tech
on a last second pass, which could've never happened, had there not been a dropped INT the second before, OR we had better clock management
on the road, not having the best game, we showed guts, fought back in a game we had no business being in from the first half.
and the ball just didn't go our way, it happens. that's part of college football and in a lot of ways that's part of life.
and our team kept their heads up, came home after a GRUELING stretch of games, and took on a baylor team that's not the best of teams in the big 12
but they gave our QB a pretty good knocking around, they showed a lot of heart, but we won. even though the crowd wasn't in it, even though it was at the ass crack of dawn
a tech team lost the other night, got DOMINATED, on the road, showed no heart, fight, or spirit, and left the field with their heads down.
you think their fans are gonna be up and cheering for baylor? you think their team is going to walk around with this same we can do it attitude that they've had? this same team that looked god awful in many games? i don't think we'll see the team that beat OSU at home.
just some thoughts, ps, at least we're not aggie

I'm afraid Tech
can sleepwalk their way to a win over Baylor. We’ll see.

Baylor is not a sleepwalk win for Tech...
on paper maybe yes, but let’s face it Tech was exposed for what they really are against OU in Normal on Saturday…their Defense was playing so far above their heads that their D Coord even had to mention it.
Baylor can move the ball as demonstrated against us. If you had to choose who’s team do you think Tech’s Def really resembles, UT’s or A&M’s…if you pick the later then guess what Baylor spanked Aggie and could definitely stay in the hunt with a dejected Tech team.

unfortunately
i think Tech will come out ready to kill. they are an entirely different team at home and after this past saturday’s embarrasing loss, they will be looking to redeem any dignity they possibly can after such a blow out.
they’ll probably have the same “we can do it” attitude but hopefully that obnoxious swagger will be gone…they’ve completely lost the right to that in my opinion.
with that said though, i definitely don’t think that Baylor has no chance. griffin is a stud. they are a good team. here’s to them pulling off the upset!! go bears!

Going to be interesting...
In class this morning I over-heard many students saying that they would not make the effort to return for the game (classes don’t resume until 12/2). Harrell (big toe injury, pretty significant from what I have heard from buddies on the training staff) and Crabtree both have been limping around campus. Pretty obvious they took a physical beating on Saturday.
I anxious to see if Baylor can move the ball on the ground. If they can continue to run on Tech and Defense can force a couple of stops, I think they may have a chance.

say what you want about Baylor...
but I recall thinking two things: a) the offense showed alot of potential talent all around, not just w/their QB; and b) their Defense obviously didn’t have the same talent level and UT but they flew to the ball and hit us about as hard as anyone. Colt got slobber knocked a few times by Bears D. If Tech in any way takes it easy Baylor will capitalize. They have bought into the new coaches game plan over there.

Hooked on Texas said it
Tech is a beast at home at night….regardless of who’s hurt for them, they’ll destroy Baylor. Regardless, lets keep our hopes up.

For the record
Tech’s game with Baylor is at 2:30…but it won’t matter. This one will be a big win.

Tech, OU, and we should all win this weekend...
In that case, I guess OU comes out on top because of a BCS jump, unfair as it may be, despite the head-to-head victory for Texas on neutral field and our tougher conference schedule having destroyed Missouri. Voters just react to the last week, not an entire season of work, unfortunately. Right now, OU is on fire, but at the end of the day I still think we are a better team overall. Besides, does anyone want to see “Big Game Bob” choke again in January? Texas doesn’t lose in January.

This may be a bit trite
but this has been a whale of a freaking season in the Big XII South. Whether you’re a Sooner, Longhorn or Red Raider, there has been some stunning football played. A big round of applause to all three teams and their fans for giving the rest of the world a glimpse into what our brand of football is about. Plus, it keeps us from having to talk about:
1. The SEC
2. USC
3. Lou Holtz’s pathetic decline
4. Mark May’s baffling discussion points
5. Craig James’ absurd Tech homerism
6. The flawed logic of winning the time of possession battle
7. Brent Musberger. Anything he say’s.
8. BCS ramifications for teams none of us give a whit about (I’d rather you despise me than be indifferent)
9. Notre Dame’s continued sprial down
10. The lack of black head coaches in D-I
Sorry for the highjack. Back to your original thesis…
