The REAL reason OU shouldn't be rated over Texas

I suspect all of the Pollsters will look at the facts before long and consider the BCS bowl history.   They will soon come to realize that sending OU to a BCS bowl will just be a wasted vote, since OU is just going to lose it, no matter who they match up against.  Who wants to watch a game that is already pre-determined ?

As a refresher - OU last five bowls, by season:

2007 Fiesta Bowl (BCS) Lost to WV !!

2006 Fiesta Bowl (BCS) Lost to Boise State !!

2005 Holiday Bowl (not-BCS) Won Oregon

2004 Orange Bowl (BCS) Lost USC

2003 Sugar Bowl (BCS) Lost LSU

Is anybody detecting a pattern here ?

Your history is right

But how can you fairly hold other seasons against a team? If events never changed, Texas wouldn’t have beaten OU (which sucks, by the way) en route to the ’05 MNC.

Well...It's more fun than logic...

on the other hand, this wouldn’t even be a discussion if it was just last year’s OU bowl failures, or two years. This is a long (hilarious) string of big game failure. Could there be any common factors over the entire string ? Hmmmm.

I guess my ideal solution would be to try and improve them. Find a way to get them into The Meineke Car Care Bowl this year, for example. If they can win that, maybe the Motor City in 2009.

Besides we have beat OU 3 out of the last 4 years

And besides Big Game Bob’s 44 % Bowl Win record

Look at the last 8 years where Stoops has had big losses against teams that were not supposed to have had a chance……its more than us vs them here….OU has a pattern of not only blowing Big Bowls, but of losing when they arn’t supposed to.

Big Game Bob in name only

I'd rather you just say thank you and went on your way.

That's "Big Game Bob" for ya...

…I love that that nickname was a badge of honor for the golf prick at first…now it’s the bitter truth that boy can’t win in January…
