Longhorn Flyover at Bedlam
Texas fans have been collecting money for a flyover at the OU-OSU game on Saturday night. $4,500 was raised. They are hiring a pilot and printing signs. Follow the link to the story.
Great idea. The nation will be watching.

The flyover is actually during "Gameday"
I still like it though.. Also, read the comments below the article, OU fans are brainless.

This comment is priceless...
“OU fans should hold up signs that say Tech 39-Horns 33. Lets see if Tech was six points better than Texas and we beat Tech by 45 then OU is…..wow!…how many points better than Texas?”
I believe, sir, that the answer is negative 10 points…

Haha Nice Catch..
My personal favorites..
“Mack is notorious for this kind of politicking, he’s done it often in the past…”
If I recall correctly it was Stoops who was doing the politicking just recently and basically came out and admitted it, because he said he was going to stop doing it.. I call Bullsh*t
“Deport Texans and only have a team full of Okies. That is rich!”
“deport every texan from this state.”
If they really “deported” every Texan I think they would find it difficult to field a football team. They might want to check their rosters before making comments like that.

I love it
Kinda sad that this has to be done in the first place. I guess if OU puts up 50+ on Ok State and shuts them out then nothing that is said or done will help us keep OU from jumping us but oh well. Outside of a Tech loss anyway. It would be sweet justice if Tech did lose to Baylor prior to Bedlam. I would drink the tears of Jim Ross.

Sooners...
My favorite: “Why not have the Oklahoma Air National Guard intercept the plan (National Security Reasons) and State turn back to Texass or you’ll be shot down.”
With all the asinine and incoherent comments posted by sooner fans you have to give them credit when they are able to actually form a full sentence complete with punctuation (even if it is replete with misspellings and other errors). Oklahoma really lowers the bar for hicks across the nation. Burn.

they do lower the bar for hicks
but then an aggie steps up and lowers it further.

Aggies do a lot of stupid things
but they are far and above superior intellectually and academically to Oklahoma. That speaks more to how bad OU is, but alas..

Can I suggest what is wrong with your politics?
Who is the better team, Texas,Tech or OU? Everyone has different ideas. Texas fans want to say three way ties dont count because they say Tech is inferior. I say none of these teams are inferior, they have all had great records and they are tied – and that is the basis of the difficulty in determining the best! BTW these are all three still GREAT teams in the big 12 south!
The most important stats
- record OU 10-1
- record Tech 10-1
- record Texas 10-1
Advantage NOBODY
Strength of opponent in head to heads - Tech beat a #1 team who had defeated a #1 team at home – Texas
- OU beat a #2 team who had defeated a #1 team at home – Tech
- Texas beat a #1 team on the road who hadnt really beaten anyone yet- OU
Advantage Tech
Win streaks (yes winning streaks matter in BCS rankings)
- OU has a 5-0 record since last defeat
- Texas has a 2-0 record since last defeat
- Tech has 0-0 record since last defeat
Advantage OU
Scores (yes margin of victories do matter in BCS rankings)
- OU beats Tech 65-21
- Texas beats OU 45-35
- Tech beats Texas 39-33
Advantage OU
OU gains the advantage over Texas and Tech just slightly
To prove the soundness of my argument and that it is unbiased consider if the rolls had been reversed.
if Texas had lost in week 5 to OU and now had a 5 game winning streak
If Texas had beat Tech by 44 points and tech had a 0 game winning streak
If OU had gotten knocked off by Tech by 6 points and had a 2-0 winning streak
Absolutely no question Texas would be ranked in BCS polls above OU and deserve to represent the big 12
And Absolutely no question people in Texas would think Oklahoma nuts if they went around hiring planes to display the score 45-35! Of course it is politics, and this year Texas politics are the worst.

The only problem I have with this argument is with your “strength of opponent in head to heads.” You simply throw in the sentence “who had not really beaten anyone yet” solely to make Tech the strongest team in that section.
If we look at it without your commentary we have:
Tech- Beat the #1 team at home
OU – Beath the #1 team at home
Texas – Beat the #1 team at a neutral site
This makes Texas look better. It certainly isn’t definitive, mostly because the categories you chose are arbitrary.
Oh, and make no mistake, if your hypothetical final example were true, all the OU fans would still be arguing that OU is more deserving and all the UT fans would still be arguing that we are more deserving.

really?
No where in your rambling incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
this is too ridiculous to even merit a thoughtful response. you, sir, are beyond saving.

classic cherry picking
When you decide what criteria to use, its pretty easy to set up a situation where you win. Just sayin’.

I saw this posted some where
“I played rock, paper, scissors with a sooner. I threw rock and threw scissors. He told me since scissor can cut paper and paper covers rock then scissors should win.”
Kind of the same situation.

Sooner Fan Here
You realize that your banner better be wishing the Sooners good luck.
If OU loses and Tech wins you guys are 2nd in the South because you lost the head to head game with Tech.
