The reason Baylor can run on Tech?
Coaching. I bet they have a blocker for every DL or something crazy like that.
Wow

Recruiting note: BU and Tech will go after same players.
Especially receivers, so this has serious overtones for next season.
Does Baylor have the stamina to keep up with Tech.

Probably not for over three quarters max.
They need a lot of luck or a lot of turnovers.

Tulsa was ranked when UH hung 70 on them, but I don’t think any other C-USA team has been ranked all season. Tulsa was 8-1 at the time.

Looks like high ankle sprain on Crabtree.
You can play on it but it won’t get better if you do.
This seems to have been his continuing injury.
He can really screw up those ligaments if he keeps going on it. Takes 6-8 weeks to heal.

For Baylor to win, they can’t have self-inflicted mistakes like this. That could have been the game right there. Instead, they allow Tech to take momentum into halftime.
I would beat up that kicker if I was in the locker room and my team lost by any small margin. Good grief. When your team shows up to play, don’t screw them over. These aren’t 50 yard bombs.

11/14/09 looking like a big game!
the game at baylor next year could be a big’un…
Wow Bullshit
Auburn made a fg but Saban called timeout right before the snap.. On the second kick it was blocked.. 10-0 Bama at the half
It doesn't work half the time
In fact, in the NFL this year, a kicker specifically said he was glad the other team did that because it allowed him to just kick the ball down the middle and see what the wind did to it (he missed the first, obviously). He then made the proper adjustments on his second kick and won the game.
So it gets a lot of publicity, but it’s pretty much rolling the dice.

Art Briles
From Stephenville ISD to UH to Baylor knows & can recruit Texas
Now that Mizzou laid an egg against Kansas...
is there a chance we’ll go to the Big 12 championship and OU will still pass us in the BCS?
by Heart of a Muschampion on Nov 29, 2008 4:14 PM CST reply actions
They might pass us this week, but if we go on to win the Big XII championship, we go to the MNC game.
by HornPossessed on Nov 29, 2008 4:16 PM CST up reply actions
Well if the score holds up
OU players will more than likely know the outcome before their game which could lead to them playing extremely flat.
by Hookem4life84 on Nov 29, 2008 4:20 PM CST up reply actions
Tech has 138 yards passing, -3 rushing, 135 total. Pathetic.
Baylor has 180 total yards, 146 of that rushing, and a two minute lead in ToP, 16-14. These are solid stats.
They need more ToP
Unfortunately, Tech’s last scoring drive was over seven minutes long.
by TheElusiveShadow on Nov 29, 2008 4:16 PM CST up reply actions
If this holds...
…would voters still have OU over us (and therefore #2 in the BCS) with an OU blowout win?
Logic says they’d have to put Texas ahead of OU, but it’s also completely illogical that some voters will determine where Texas and OU will be ranked related to one another based on the result of the Tech-Baylor game.
don't worry about it too much yet....long way to go.
But remember, if Texas goes to KC and wins, it’ll have Head to Head and big 12 title as trump cards over OU. hard to overlook that, no?
We’ll worry about any of that IF these things hold up. Long way from over, and OU still has to win, too.
I still think voters seeing Tech play this crappy has to have some effect on the 3 way tie.
by girlslikefootball2 on Nov 29, 2008 4:18 PM CST reply actions
It's really the only usefulness of human voters ...
They should realize teams play at different levels from game to game. Okie Lite and the Sand Aggies played lights out against us, but if they fold like lawn chairs against OU and other opponents it should be enough to convince them.
Texas '06.
Problem is...
Everyone knows that a three-way tie is solely between Texas and OU.

Tech's offense looks out of sync
My buddy who is at the game said the stadium is deathly quiet.
If Auburn had any offense
then Alabama would be in trouble.
Florida is gonna lay wood on ’Bama.
The entire SEC is over rated
Half of the Big 12 would bitch slap Florida and ’Bama.
Percy Harvin
throwing this out there…Percy Harvin is also out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury.
he and crabtree hurt their ankles within 5 minutes of each other

who does Harvin play for? dumb question I know.

our defense isn't exactly slow
the big 12 offenses have just given the defenses ugly ugly stats

We may have to hope for Baylor to continue to move the ball and hold on. They aren’t going to stop Tech much more than they have.
by TheElusiveShadow on Nov 29, 2008 4:49 PM CST reply actions
you can't expect to hold tech to 14 points
but if baylor can keep ramming the ball down their throats on the ground, i’m fine with tech answering on long, time consuming drives
Baylor is going to have to out score Tech

Which is to say, nothing is coming easy to them. That’s good for Baylor.

Xavier Daniel Lee (born January 9, 1986 in Daytona Beach, Florida) is a former Florida State Seminole quarterback. He was signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2008, but has since been released. Lee currently is a wide receiver for the Southern New Hampshire Beavers, a semi-pro team.
I am rooting for Auburn
but the offense has been non-existent. It looks like the team gave up on Tuberville.
That's good
It’s rough on the defense, but long drives now for Tech is not what they want coming from behind.
by TheElusiveShadow on Nov 29, 2008 4:54 PM CST reply actions
The bad news is that Tech got some life from that score and their D got rest
The good news is that Griffin got some rest too, and Tech’s D hasn’t stopped the run all day.
by TheElusiveShadow on Nov 29, 2008 4:55 PM CST reply actions
to stop the run, tech secondary's gonna start creeping up
and then those track star WRs are gonna run right by them
They should just have Griffin run it every single play
and throw the 2 point conversions just to keep the Tech D honest
