No ligament damage for Orakpo | Bevo Beat
If "no ligament damage" is the new code to replace "bruised knee," this is the end for Brian Orakpo. Fingers crossed on one hand, 'Horns up on the other.

Unless I don't understand the penalties...
I see two penalties in that screenshot. (Hands to the face and holding)
Good Luck to Orakpo. I hope he gets well soon, you hate you see him miss anymore football after last season.

Jason Taylor had a sprained knee this preseason for the Redskins
And was playing in the season opener 2 weeks later. I have no idea how similar their injuries are though, hopefully Rak will be back.

Has for 5-star recruit Eddie Jones done anything productive this year?
Can we expect anything out of him in place of Orakpo? We need a healthy Orakpo! I don’t think we need to rush him back, but I hope for a quick and full recovery for him. He’s a physical beast, so hopefully he recovers quicker than most!

I wondered about Jones
as well. He’s been playing regularly and is listed on game stats as having participated on Saturday, but I never saw his number. Meaning he’s either not a key guy or was injured. Has played in every game, 1 sack, just 5 total tackles. Not what you want from a 5-star.
Ran into Orakpo on Campus
I was running to class on campus today and as I approached the Jester Dorm, Orakpo was outside talking with some friends.
He had a brace on his leg, no crutches and looked in good spirits. Says he might not play this weekend but “will be back next week.” I assumed against Kansas.
Some good news to munch on.
very good news if it holds true.
We can probably get by our next 3 opponents without him but it sure wouldn’t hurt to have him back soon. We’ll probably need him back for our bowl game however. Speedy recovery to our sack machine.
So what was the deal with Miller's injury?
It doesn't matter if you win or lose, as long as you come in first.

probably cant speak for orakpo
but I have a sprained knee right now MCL or something, no real tear. However it is very annoying. I get tentative to make sudden changes of direction, get stabbing twitches of pain, and overall its a just pain in the ass. I couldnt imagine playing on a sprained knee. Kind of a psychological thing too. And essentially a sprain IS a partial tear, so you dont want to risk further injury.
just my two cents.
Officating...
That was the same Crew that did the OU game…The officiating vs Tech was just atrocious. It was awful. I saw about 3 different instances where Kindle got faced masked by that dumb painted O-Linemen. Then of course the blatent holding on Orakpo and Miller…And we get flagged for falling on a Tech player…
Crappy…The NCAA should really go back and watch some of these games specifically for the Officiating…
Hopefully Osackpo will be back, and doin his thang!
Hook em yall!
The tech officiating was worse than at OU. Lets just hope we never pull that crew again. nt^Whills

Officiating...
Yeah, that officiating crew seriously needs to find new work. Those were two of the most poorly officiated games I have seen in a long time.
Losing Orakpo sucks...
But in the same way PB saw the silver lining when Cosby went down (more Malcolm WIlliams, thanks), we too can hope that this gives Muschamp more of a chance to develop Acho and Eddie Jones. And let’s cross our fingers that the Rack is back to wreck havoc on the Reesing.
