looking at body of work
lets forget about the emotions that go along with following our favorite team and wishing them well on a great regular season. we have all gone through countless reasoning of why 1 team should or shouldnt represent its conference. we can all admit that the "HOT" team right now is getting all the love and is looking very attractive. i tried doing some research as to which team actually looks better overall. now i dropped the names of the teams and dropped the names of the opponents because i feel like they are too subjective. i just want to bring up a few numbers
Team A Vs. Team B
Overall record: A) 11–1 B) 11–1 advantage: push
Conference record: A) 7–1 B) 7-1 advantage: push
Vs. top 25 opp: A) 3-1 B) 4-1 advantage: Team B
L (rank of opp/ margin of defeat) A) #7\6 * B)#5\10** adv: Team A
* - road game
**- neutral field
Record Vs. common opp: A) 4-1 B) 5-0 adv: Team B
Avg margin of Victory: A) 32pts B) 29.6pts Adv: Team A
Avg margin of Victory Vs. common opp: A)30.6pts B)28pts Adv: Team A
Of course i could have done about a hundred different sections and go into more detail but overall if the BCS peeps want style points then Team A is beating thier opponents by a larger margin, but Team B does hold a better record. It would be difficult to put Team A in a title game based on its record vs top 25 competition and record against the same 5 opponents. Bottom line is team B is no doubt going to a title game and the bottom bottom line is that OU is team B. GOD I HATE OU.

nice cryptography work, you should create the next enigma.
Please excuse my sarcasm, I hate how the RRR victory is meaningless.

Hot
December is a cold, cold month. How can anyone be sure that a team that is ‘hot’ at the end of November will be playing at the same level in January? The decision should look at the whole season, not the last week.
