Texas - Texas Tech in the MNC
Another path to Miami:
After we beat OU, fans asked if we could see them again in the MNC, and yes we could. Why not TT instead?
TT wins out and goes without question.
Penn State needs to lose one, and Bama and Florida each need to lose one. Florida needs to lose before the SEC championship and then beat Bama in the SEC championship.
The number should crunch and the stars will align, and we will have a rematch in Miami.
Edited for spelling mistakes.

I like "lose" better than "fail."
Well done.

Eek
When OU plays Texas, they lose.
When OU creates academic standards, they are loose.
See the difference?

possible
Spelling errors aside, I can see it happening, despite the howling protests outside of the Lone Star State. If Bama is 10-2 (losses to LSU & Auburn) and faces a 10-2 Florida (losses to Ole Miss and FSU) in an SEC title game, the winner would be out of Miami. In fact, though it’s a long shot, a one loss SEC champ might (and that’s a huge MIGHT) be left out of Miami due to the Big 12’s status this year. A 11-1 UT team could see a 13-0/12-1 Tech team in the BCS title game. The rest of the country would hate it, and it probably would be unfair, but it’s all about whatever the numbers & algorithms have as the 1 and 2 at the end. Personally, I think a Lone Star BCS Title Game would be sweet, especially a UT-TT rematch.

umm, no thanks
As a Texas fan, I would love to see Texas in the MNC. As a college football fan, I don’t want to see two teams that have already played each other in the MNC.

Amen
There’s no way in hell that would happen. Remember 2006? Ohio State could’ve gotten a rematch with Michigan, but the poll voters (correctly) put Florida in the national title game instead.

My parents moved to Columbus, Ohio after I graduated from highschool. I recall that day when OSU bent over and got its ass punctured over and over, people were trash-talking on the radio saying things like, “BUCKEYES ARE GONNA STOMP THE SH*T OUT OF THE GATORS”. That was by far the most entertaining Christmas to date in Columbus, OH

Fail.
Ain’t gonna happen.
Gotta win your conference championship to be eligible to play for the MNC (thank you very much, Nebraska (2001)).
You really wanna see Tech play in a bowl game? Let’s see them play USC. Now, THAT I’d pay money for!

Could Happen
Actually you don’t have to win your conference to be in the MNC. They talked about that rule, but never added it.
And yes, I’d like to see Tech play Texas in the MNC, just to piss off the SEC and other conferences around the country. If we don’t make the MNC, I want Texas to face an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl.

What I want !
TEXAS VS florida, that would be one hell of a game also that in the MNC would make a texas win over sec that mutch better.

Qute honestly I think I'd rather take Penn State
since we have a much better chance of winning another title that way. Florida’s running game looks simply ridiculous, and with Orakpo possibly out and our safeties being greenhorns, I think I’d like to avoid this scenario.

quick question...
What happens if ….
Oklahoma State beats Texas Tech and both of them beat OU (which I dont see happening) OR
Oklahoma beats Texas Tech and both of them beat OSU (which is possible).
And Texas, Texas Tech and OU or OSU win out. All ending with 11-1 seasons with a 3-way head to head winners.
Who wins the Big Xii South?

Not right
Tech would have to put their chance at the title on the line one more time against Mizzou in the Conference CG. If they lost, they’d probably drop out of the top two. Meanwhile, we’re sitting here at home, thanking God we didn’t win the South so we didn’t have to play that extra game. That’s bullcrap.
