TIE BREAKER?
I have been asked this question several times over the last few days, and I am not sure how to answer it. This scenario, is improbable but also possible.
Let's say that OSU beats Tech and wins out the remainder of their season? After losing to OSU, Tech wins out (yes, In know this means they beat OU at home). Texas also wins the remainder of their schedule.
This, hypothetically, would cause a 3 way tie. With Texas holding advantage over OSU, OSU over Tech, and Tech over Texas. In this scenario, what is the determining factor on who represents the Big XII South in the conference title game?

this scenario has been well-discussed
over the past few days in general. The answer is the team that finishes higher in the BCS standings. Oklahoma State would have to leapfrog Texas and Tech in the BCS (possible if they beat both Tech and OU, which would dramatically increase their quality wins, and Texas struggles with any of its remaining three opponents). At this stage it’s impossible to predict which team would finish higher because of the vagaries of the polls and the uncertain algortihms of the computers.

Texas wins most tie breaker scenarios
1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other.
2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division.
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (fourth, fifth and sixth).
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.
5. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative.
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative.
7. The representative will be chosen by draw.

This one worries me
5. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative.
Sure the computers love us but we are 6 and 7 and behind OU in the other two polls that formulate the BCS. I am still just hoping for two Tech losses, which is likely

Whats to worry?
1. OSU beats TT
2. ou beats TT
3. ou beats OSU
4. Texas wins out
5. Alabama,Florida,PennState all drop a game.
6. ou Ranked #1 BCS beats Mizzu for B12 conference championship.
7. MNC #1 ouALWAYSsux loses to # 2 “The University of Texas”
It could happen……………………regardless…ou Sux and I’d rather they lose out.

Cant happen that way
If Tech loses two games, we play Mizzou (or Kansas) for the big 12 championship.
Texas then is #1, OU is #2.
=D
