isn't it true that a non bcs conference team gets a bcs bowl bid
if they finish in the top 12 of the BCS standings?
wouldn't that mean that utah and boise would steal spots from other teams
so hypothetically Texas OU(sucks) OSU and Ttech could all finish in the top 10 and only 2 would get bcs bowls?

Only 2 from each conf can go, so yes
If I'm not mistaken, only 1 non-BCS can go to a BCS bowl game.
So I think the bowl committees have to choose one or the other.

I have been saying it all year. The SEC is not strong this year (with the exception being maybe Florida). The media “experts” are jocking them on reputation only. Not a strong conference this year.

But technically he is the backup right now because Hatch is out.
