At this point
We can get in if Alabama wins out and Tech loses twice, or if Tech loses once but the three-way tiebreaker fiasco gives us the Big 12. BCS CG will be Big 12 champ vs. SEC champ barring monster 2007-like disaster.

Ranting
Don’t feel bad for Penn St. Shit happens you need to get your priorities straight Texas first and any underdog that can help them out second that’s great that the hawkeyes won it’s to bad Les Miles had to use a rookie qb for that bama game we could of been smellin championship right there but shit bama will still lose to Florida in the SEC championship and hopefully Auburn can upset them also!

Don't forget the possibility
Of South Carolina upsetting Florida next week – they came within a blocked field goal of doing it in 2006 in Gainesville – and Florida then beating Bama in Atlanta. That scenario pretty much eliminates the SEC from the Orange Bowl picture. That leaves Big XII champ (probably Tech), USC and Big XII outside-looking-in-one-loss-team (probably Texas) left as contenders for the MNC.
Looking at this realistically, voters will prefer USC in this scenario and vault them over us – provided UCLA doesn’t shock them again this year. It’s looking like the Rose Bowl for us right now, if we tend to business and win out, and that’s not so bad.
Friends may come and go, but enemies accumulate.
