Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Where each team stands right now

I am proud of this team.

Regardless of what bowl we end up in, I am proud of this team. Looking back at the beginning of the season, I do not think anyone could predict the year we have had as a team along with the year Colt McCoy, completing 77% of his passes with 36? total tds along with being our LEADING rusher, was going to have. I don't think I could have predicted Blake Gideon and Earl Thomas stepping up like they did through out the season. I am proud of this team going from a 3-4 loss team to a 1 loss team tied for the Big 12 South title. I know after the OU win at the Cotton Bowl, everyone were looking forward to the schedule ahead and the possibility of a National Title. No one could have predicted our Horns getting through that tough 4-game streak of top 12 teams in the country. I congratulate the Sooners on their late in the season victories, but I WILL be rooting for the Tigers come Saturday.

Its fine to be proud, but not satisfied!

I am as you are proud of a team that had alot of pre-season obsticals in the way. I am not too proud though of the 11-1. I am proud of the fact that we at Texas expect and produce greatness with all our sports. We demand championship! We demand that our student athletes come in and expect that from themselves and we push them to be better. Even when we are thought to be even if for one season. I am proud of the fact that these kid went out and worked their butts off and backed down from nobody Stepped toe-to-toe with the big boy (O.U.) and knocked on their rear. I am proud that after the Tech loss we got right back up and kept fighting for what they believed was theirs. This team should have learned alot from this. I feel sorry about how this may end up for the outgoing seniors, but am extremely excited for the future of Texas football. These young men have high character and ability and if they learn from the game in Lubbock this could be the best stretch of football this school has seen ever. Now thats saying something! That is what I am proud of!!!

I agree and only add....

Give the big 12 some love. Wasnt long ago that nobody anywhere gave the big 12 any respect. This was a three way tie that kicked every one elses butts and btw destroyed the big 12 north!

Jamarkus McFarland

Does anyone know the latest on Jamarkus McFarland? I saw on Orangebloods.com there was an update on his status and leanings between Land thieves and Us.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
