Open letter from a guy who is a rabid Tech fan. I'm actually starting to feel for the Red Raider faithful. He makes some legitimate points:
"This whole deal just infuriates me, and obviously I'm not a huge Harrell fan, but has a team ever been dismissed this much after one game. Harrell and Crabtree were clear favorites before the OU game and after a 330+ yd game with 3TDs and 1 Int, he gets dismissed. Our team, despite being in a tie for the South is never mentioned again. If we were UT, would we have been dismissed? Hell no. I'm not excusing the game but the way money plays into it just makes me sick.
We go 11-1 in the toughest division ever (per many media outlets). We beat the #1 team in the country and dominate a top 10 team the following week. We have three prime time games on national television and the Heisman frontrunner through it all. All this and we are written off after one bad night, against a team that would have killed anyone in the country that night (given the circumstances). Everyone is quick to excuse UT for their tough 4-game run but what about ours?!
USC loses to a 4 loss team that Penn State and Oregon kill, and yet are completely forgiven. Florida loses to a 4 loss team at home and yet are the favorites in the MNC. Ohio State, the biggest joke of all, gets embarrassed and then beat on it's home turf and yet we're supposed to look the other way again. The NCAA is turning into a joke and might as well only include about 20 teams." - Anonymous Red Raider Fan
