RRS 09 Tickets
I know I am getting ahead of myself and Texas is going to a great BCS bowl this year. I have to believe that next years RRS will be one of the most heated games in recent memory, as well as the Longhorns toughest game next year. Does anyone have any tips on which sites normally have the best deals for tickets? I am not going to go as cheap as possible something lower endzone would be nice though. Thanks for the help.

As cheap as possible?
Slip the usher at the gate some cash at halftime. They’ll let you right in.
I've been fuelin' my dreams eatin' greens and beans.

why wait till the half
If you slip them a little about an hour before kickoff it works the same, and you don’t miss any of the game.

Why bother paying?
One year I told the lady at the gate my dad(the old man behind me) had my ticket, walked in and never looked back….very fair price if you ask me…

I hope im not violating any rules, because im not making a fanpost/fanshot for this. Im getting an OU ticket next year, I will have priority seating status (something close and on the bottom). If you remember in time I will have a ticket or 2 to sell by then.

Season Tickets
Can’t go wrong with season tickets, plus you’ll have a bit of priority over the public. Word on the street is Foundation donors can get season tickets for a small donation.

I'd imagine this is true
There were season tickets available without any donation last year, which indicates that they didn’t get donations for all the seats. I’d imagine you could donate a nominal amount and get season tickets in the upper deck of the North endzone.

Not having to give a donation last year may be due to the additional seats
But to get RRS tickets I think you have to give $500 or more. It goes up each year (or it had been)

I plan on...
doing this when I move back down to Austin. I am currently stuck in Missouri, my wife and I are hoping to make the move back once we get the chance. Unfortunately I will need to stay at my current job for another few years, so I don’t look like a job jumper. Thanks for the ideas on the tickets though.

I'd get the season tickets soon because...
there may be any in a few years. I like here in Oklahoma and could not make many games the past couple of years due to work and gas. I sold them and at least broke even over the long haul.
Also, the LF dontion is a 80% tax deduction

Tax deduction...
only in certain cases though. Many wont be able to.

I joined the foundation
and got season tickets last year with RRS tickets as well. However… in the foundation you’re limited to as many RRS tickets as season tickets. So if you didn’t get season tickets, I don’t know if you could just get RRS through them.

Go to Dallas!
Every year I go to the West End and try to get a set of tickets. If i dont get them then I get them before the game. Ive done this 6 times and 5 out of 6 i pay face value. The other time I paid 2x face value. By the way I do this at every college game I go to at every college town. Doesnt matter its all the same. LSU, Penn St, MIchigan, Wisconsin and Alabama. It works everytime. I promise!
