Fiesta Bowl Ticket Update - Going to Glendale !
Well, the Longhorn ticket office did not live up to their promise from last week. Monday came and went with no email from them telling me if I had been selected to get the Fiesta Bowl tickets that I requested.
But today - I have an email from them containing a Fedex tracking number! Maybe they are sending me the 'fan of the year' award, but my guess is Fiesta Bowl tickets. We are going to Glendale !! Time to get psyched up for te Buckeyes !

Hell Yeah!
I just bought mine from Stub Hub. Appearently the person who is selling the tickets hasn’t actually received them yet, which scares me. Especially due to the fact that on my confirmation email, it stated that my tix would be shipped on the 1st of january and arrive on the 5th. I dont know about you but thats a tad bit impossible seeing as how Im driving from Houston and the game is on the 5th. Im thinking (praying) that this was just a mistake by StubHub.

Shouldn't have to worry
I think StubHub has some type of buyer guarantee…if your seller fails to deliver, StubHub will find you tickets of equal or greater value for the same price.
And FedEx delivered my tickets today from UT, so your seller will probably have them today or tomorrow too
After getting my tickets, I’m now wishing i’d scalped…I don’t donate a ton, but this is the first time I’ve ever been sent upper deck seats and in the corner of the end zone.
Just a fitting end to this year I guess.

Yeah I feel your pain
I’m (supposedly) getting my tickets in the upper deck corner as well. Section 434 I believe. At least its first row, and on the Texas side.

Which side is selling more
We should try to start a movement to buy tix on the OSU side as well to give us a huge crowd

Both schools travel very well
Actually we’re probably the best 2 traveling school in the country maybe outside of Nebraska.

There is Fiesta fatigue on the Buckeye side. We’ve been there 4 or 5 times in the past 7 years. Not to mention that the distance is a pain.
However, I would be surprised if the West Coast Bucks didn’t pick up the slack.

Collin Cowherd
Said they are opening their tickets up for the general public because they could not sell them all. He was going on a rant about how the economy was playing a factor in whether or not fans would travel for their bowl game, especially if they had to go far distances, he used tOSU as an example.

...and on that note!
Got my tix on Ebay and had to call Stub Hub to find out side designations…Looks like my tix I was so happy to get on the field level turn out to be on the Ohio State side. Any other Texas fans in section 113? Maybe we’ll get lucky and sit with some really cool OSU fans….sigh.

That has a lot to do with Ohio state
According to this article, for the first time, Ohio state has not been able to sell its tickets to its season ticket holders/donors. So they have to open it to the public. UT on the other hand is close to selling them all.

Anyone else disappointed?
I thought the tickets would look much cooler than this. WTF with the Meineke motif? Game of the Century? Please. They didn’t even know who was playing in this game when they printed the tickets. I’ve seen the ‘06 Rose Bowl tickets, and they were much nicer. Can anyone tell me what the RB did for the ’05 game? Fiesta starting to feel very lame in terms of atmosphere and tradition. I wish the Cotton Bowl had taken its place when the BCS started. That’s a bowl game.

National Championship tix...
The Rose Bowl 2006 (05 championship)didn’t have the teams on the tickets. It is very cool looking though with a multicolored artist rendering of a football player surrounded by rose blooms and embossed in gold. Actually none of my bowl tickets have the teams on them.
No disappointment here! I always have a good time no matter what the tickets look like!

Rose Bowl tickets
in 2005 (for the 04 season, the Michigan game, not the NCG), were FAAAAAAAR better than the following year. The design and type-face was circa 1901, and they had a pack of Jim Thorpe-ish football players scrumming. Really classy, antique-style.
By comparison, the National Title tickets were pretty tacky.
