All or nothing for Texas and Colt

Well, it might end up being an all or nothing result for Texas and Colt Mccoy after the BIG 12 Championship game.  If Oklahoma wins, I expect OU to make it to the NC game and also for Bradford to narrowly edge Colt for the Heisman.

If OU loses, then Texas has a great chance to get to the NC game and Colt Mccoy will be the leading candidate for the Heisman, with Tebow as his main competition.

Whatever happens, I am happy that this team closed out the season in a strong fashion and we will play well in either the Fiesta or the Orange Bowl.  It was nice to see that we finished the season w/o any problems like the last 2 years.

While I've been afraid to ponder this...

…I think you may be correct. Alas, Colt has been the Heisman front runner since the RRS, and all that exposure helps. Regardless, I do think that Colt has done more for our team than Bradford did for Oklahoma this season, and that he is indeed the best in the land.

It sucks but..

It seems that everything is going ou’s way. I think Bradford will take the lead after winning the battle of the beatins on Saturday.

Hopefully, this will piss Texas off and they will beat down whoever they play in the Fiesta Bowl. I also hope it inspires everyone to come back that is suppose to come back (Colt, Kindle, etc.) and win a national championship in 2009.

what it ou doesnt beat them by some classless score like 64-28 or something. what if they were to actually have a little bit of candor and not try and beat the dead horse?

would it then be possible to see Colt taking the heisman due to that being seen as ou “not being able to do it” is this possible???

You are correct.

However Texas’ chances of being int the Title game are better than you are thinking.
Mizzu is a 9-3 team. Their quarterback was the heisman front runner at the first of the year. Mizzu is equal to OSU. Mizzu has homefield advantage on a nutral field (they played there last week in the snow). Even Texas had trouble with OSU and only won by 4 points in Texas. OU would not have beaten OSU unless they played almost a perfect game last week (8 scores in a row in second half). And did I already mention cold and snow? Finally despite all the warnings and the “knowing better” everyone is already talking about OU in the title game (even Stoops). OU beat Mizzu twice last season to knock them out of the title game. Mizzu has motive and some experience. I give Mizzu a 33% chance of winning the game Saturday.

I think you are too generous.

Mizzou got absolutely crushed to the number #1b south team, and lost to the #4 team in the south at home. The number 5 team in the south took them to the wire.

They also got beat by KU, who got squashed by every south team they played.

Mizzou is a pretender, and their weakest aspect of their team is their passing defense. I expect Mizzou will put some points up, but I dont think they stop OU from scoring in the 60s again. OU wins easily.
