PrintI returned home from campus today and began to brew a pot of coffee. I noticed a heap of dishes I needed to rinse and load into the dishwater.
I declined to do so. "Why bother," I thought bitterly. "Someone's just going to steal them and give them to Oklahoma anyway."
This is my mindset.

Sounds like you have the right attitude.
What i hate the most out of this – there were actually Texas fans rooting for OU against Tech, and then for a small margin of victory against OSU.
If this has taught us anything, it should teach us that OU is the suckiest team in American, Bob Stoops the suckiest coach, and Barry Switzer a piece of shit, and never, ever, ever root for the sooners to do anything but suck.

I want to go on record...
That I posted after the Tech Tragedy saying we should root for Tech all the way ( not that I would have been sad to see them drop a game to Baylor ). I KNEW the sooners would jump if they beat the team we lost to. I KNEW IT! THEY’RE SOONERS!
I took a lot of flack for that post, but I was proved right. Texas gets no love in the polls. If we are going to win it all, there must be no doubt.
Even undefeated in 2005, the media was all over us for being pretenders against the “Greatest Team of All Time”

but why all the cussing lately? Seems like it’s taken on a whole new dimension here at BON. You guys normally make really solid arguments, but the f-bombs take away from that.
Okay, I totally get that I sound like your mom here and I am going to regret posting this…
Anger is just a part of the grief process...
…so fuck off.
Come back when we’ve made it to resolution, oh say, 2023? Ok, maybe not. But the language will probably clean up sometime next spring or so.
And in the meantime, in the nicest and most thoughtful way possible, fuck off.

Why all the cussing...
I think it has to do with the unbelievable amount of events that went entirely against our team these past couple of days (at least it felt like that).
Mizzou losing, Colorado losing, OSU blowing it (at least in terms of keeping it close at the end)… And then the ultimate FU, getting passed by Oklahoma.
It will end, and end soon. When all of the temporary visitors (i.e., Tech-bashers, OU bashers, late-season fans, etc) start trickling out and the emotions come down a little bit the discourse will elevate.
I think we're entitled.
After the round screwing we’ve received there is but one response:

Agree about the expletives, however, let us burn off some steam will ya. There is a lot of hurt goin’ on here. You need us to get over this because heaven help TTU Pirates 11/07/09. You aint seen beat down. And you can take that to the bank mofo.
I'm not worried about Tech next year.
History shows that in the Mack era Tech is going to win about every 5 years. That’s just how it’s gonna go, so I am ready for another big Tech game around 2013 or so….and we will see the Tech trolls back here then, if blogs still exist. In the mean time…I hope they enjoy the Cotton, I really don’t care about them.
OU on the other hand, sucks all the time. I am looking forward to next October !
Everything seems to be getting screwed due to Tech issues lately. ;)

Why not iTunes? Do they make you pay? I’ve subscribed to the InsideTexas podcast on there, and it’s only a weekly release (and usually an annoyingly late one at that).
I’d look forward to getting this podcast on iTunes subscription and having it on my iPod for when I need to get my pissed-off adrenaline going at the gym. Just mention “OU” and “voters” in the same sentence, and I’ll be tacking on extra reps to every set.

Why the anger?
Because OU sucks….still sucks, and forever will suck.

I dont really blame OU for this actually..i blame Big 12 for having stupid tiebreaker rules. In every other conference, Texas would be going to the big 12 CCG.
But that being said, OU still sucks and Stoops is still a douchemallet.
Not true
Only the SEC and ACC tiebreakers would favor Texas. The Big East goes straight to the top team in the BCS standings after head-to-head, and the Pac-10 and Big Ten both have a clause stating that if there is a tie and one team is in the top 2, they get the auto-bid regardless of anything else.
Modify to every other 2 division conference
All 2 division conferences, including the mid-majors, would have Texas winning the tie-breaker.
Talk Shoe
Some of us went to Talkshoe last night after the Now Live failure
We Beta-tested it for you and it appears to work as well as or better than Now Live used to work, so I recommend it.
The selection of “other shows now on the air” is a bit more, how do I say this, eclectic(?)!
PB, is there any way you and Orson can do a makeup show this week? We are hurting out here and need a therapy show before the weekend.
