JaMarkus McFarland -sorry if old or dupe
Surprise Visitor
In a rare interview last month, Lufkin, Texas, defensive tackle JaMarkus McFarland told Rivals.com that he would decide between Oklahoma and Texas. Judging by McFarland's travel schedule last weekend, one more program may have worked itself into that mix.
McFarland visited USC for the Notre Dame game, meaning three top-five schools are competing for the services of the nation's top-ranked defensive lineman. Lufkin coach John Outlaw raved in an interview before season about McFarland's dedication on and off the field. McFarland is an excellent student, and, as Thayer Evans of The New York Times wrote, he is a master of the Blue-Light Special.

running back?
ok, so texas is in need for a legit running back, but the only guy we got for next year is chris whaley, and no one knows if he will stay at rb. so why are we not pursuing any one else? is there anyone we may be after?

It's not so much a problem of the RB's, but of the O-Line's blocking.
And maybe the formation we run backs out of.

We dont need a running back
We have 3 underclassmen that have all shown themselves to be capable. Not to mention Hills, and our redshirts.
All our running game problems stem from the offensive line. If you don’t believe me, do as I did and rewatch our runs in slow motion and watch the offensive line.
