Longhorn commit Calvin Howell sustained a leg injury during the first day of practice for the US Army All-American Bowl. During a drill near the end zone, Howell smashed his leg into a cooler, leaving the field on a cart and missing the rest of practice.

On a more positive note, Marcus Davis was all over the field making plays on the ball, while Alex Okafor showed off his explosiveness and Garrett Porter looked mobile and displayed excellent footwork.
